This one happened to be the founder/owner of Specialized. It was weird. Not trained very much due to a lazy immune system. Friday, June 26, 2009. Race Report - Ironman Coeur D'Alene. Or, "Charlie Brown vs. Plate Tectonics". What an epic day. (Sorry in advance, the report will mirror it! Meredith dropped me off as close as she could get, and I walked in the rest of the way with my special needs bags. And my path happened to take me right to body marking. Score. But the woman I ended up with told me I needed to get rid of my sweatshirt. Why? I was glad I showed up early, as it let me not panic too much through all of this.

I'm pretty sure I was on the sand for less than two minutes before we took off. Not a great way to stay calm! Since the last post (which was way too long ago), I raced XTERRA REAL in Folsom, skipped XTERRA West Champs in Vegas, raced XTERRA South Central Champs in Waco, TX, and skipped ITU Worlds in Spain. Life got in the way, and skipping a few races turned out to be the smarter choice. Swim: water temp was 48 degrees. Race reports and random rambling. Tuesday, April 21, 2009. Everybody is high maintenance and it really should stop. I started to cry a little at work today because I had reached my capacity for asshats and apparently today was asshat day. Ugh. Stupid people. Yelling at me over the phone is not a good way to get me to kiss your ass. I think I want to go bowling. But mostly because I'm watching tv and they are bowling.
