It’s been a frantic start to the year! The major event of the month has been my sister louise getting married to david (another uncle david for the girls that’s three now, as well as a great uncle david, who has a son calledyou guessed it! In berlin. due to costs, weather conditions and logisitics went on my own, with the dubious pleasure of sharing a room with my brother (david! We had a day’s sightseeing. I started by playing my first competitive (or otherwise! Game of cricket on saturday afternoon for Accies, a local team here. we fielded first after losing the toss and when my turn came to bowl i soon discovered why i gave up the game in the first place. i think i finished with figures of 2-0-32-0! Hopefully i'll get a chance to practice in the next few weeks.

I can't believe that today marks the fifth anniversary of our wedding! Maybe it's because it's so much colder than it was that hot day in may, or maybe it's because it really does seem to have flown by. In that time we have moved in to our current house, katy has been made redundant then started a new job, we have two great nippers and loads more nieces and nephews. most of our friends now have kids, and some just have more kids. A place i go to when i need to. Monday, April 26, 2010. My workbench is in progress and I've screwed in one baton that will support the back of worktop and joins it to my shed. The rest of the bench will be made using dowel joints and I intend to buy a doweling jig to assist me with this. I've never heard of a dowelling jig at first but when I followed some instructions following a google it really looks quite simple. Cup of tea count in my shed now up to 2. Right off to hunt a jig.
