Wednesday, September 22, 2010. Check my newly formed halau. The keiki and teens are great! Monday, September 6, 2010. Iowa State Fair is The Best State Fair. How many people can say they've been to the Iowa State Fair? We can. We drove 5 hrs over to Des Moines, Iowa, to attend one of the best state fairs in the country. Highlights include:. Touching and sitting in large farming equipment. Eating pork chops and ribs in Iowa aka The Pork State. Viewing the winning cake from the cake decorating competition.

Sunday, September 25, 2011. Week 50 (aka 2 months old). Violet's first visit to the beach and the first time she experienced a tako's tentacles stuck to her arm. Saturday, January 22, 2011. The Hike to Machu Picchu via The Inka Trail. We made it. After 4 days of hiking and camping the Inka Trail, we arrived at Machu Picchu. Believe it or not, this was actually Wendy's idea even though camping isn't quite her favorite. She will forever have nightmares of the bathrooms at the campsites and on the trail. Monday, November 1, 2010. Our church had a Trunk or Treat. Besides Wendy winning the "Cutest Adult Costume" prize, we pretty much had the best trunk (well, at least in our minds). Our idea was to create a treat for the kids and a trick for the parents. Each treat was labeled with something that was a "nightmare" for the parents. Treat #1: Energy Drink, Stay up as late as you want! Treat #2: Sweeties, Breakfast of Champions. Have these for breakfast! Treat #3: Spoil your dinner. Why wait?

Sushi! O, what's new? Well the girls have been taking swim and ballet lessons. They love both! All in all it has been a fun year so far. Kale is growing up so fast. We are having my family reunion out here in August so our goal is to finish our backyard by then. Wish me luck! Taking a ride with Uncle Aaron.
