Friday, November 7, 2008. I have lost most of the respect that I had for John McCain over the last 24 hours. Here is why. He ran a poor campaign that never really focused on the issues. The Political Critic: Era of Excuses
http://thepoliticalcritic.blogspot.com/2008/11/era-of-excuses.html
Wednesday, November 5, 2008. The era of Obama is upon us and congratulations are due. The next 4 years will be important years to see if all the hype and excitement generated was real or just false hope. “ Hope. 8221;, the word probably most associated with Obama, along with “change”. Hope is the belief in a positive outcome related to events and circumstances in one's life. Hope is the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best. Hope is a positive outcome of circums...

The Country's Critic: November 2008
http://thecountryscritic.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 14, 2008. Obituary of the late MR. COMMON SENSE. Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:. Knowing when to come in out of the rain. Why the early bird gets the worm. Life isn't always fair. Maybe it was my fault. Don't spend more than you can earn. He be...

The Country's Critic: Rap Music
http://thecountryscritic.blogspot.com/2008/11/rap-music.html
Thursday, November 6, 2008. In my house it is known as "rap crap" and is not allowed. I think most people listen to it because of peer pressure. They probably don't really enjoy it, but they want to fit in. I think they play it loud to draw attention from their peers. Why are young people so starved for attention? That's a topic for another day. I also believe listening to all the negativity in the lyrics affects their attitude. You'll probably never convince rap fans of that, but I am convinced.

The Country's Critic: October 2008
http://thecountryscritic.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 29, 2008. 8220;Why bottled water? 8221; you ask. Well, let’s look at this from two different points of view. The bottom line is the bottling company is making more profit on your health conscience decision to drink water, and we continue to pay the price even after numerous studies done have shown that the water is no better than tap water in many cases. The second point is why you would pay more for water in a bottle then gasoline? Thursday, October 23, 2008. Monday, October 20, 2008.

The Country's Critic: Professional Athletes
http://thecountryscritic.blogspot.com/2008/10/professional-athletes.html
Monday, October 20, 2008. I was an avid sports fan in previous years, attending many games of baseball, football, basketball, and hockey, even collecting sports cards and memorabilia. Not anymore. I say NO to professional sports, and here is why. Here is the easy solution. Stop going to games and stop watching the games on TV. No one watching on TV means no commercial sales and that means the big money will have to stop. The Pro world will have to take notice and respond. How can we live with out sports?
