There is no way I could explain the impact they have had on us. It was a sad day to say goodbye. Pastor Chris enjoying the food spread. (very impressive pot luck). Hailey showing off her Japanese fashion. She's wearing a Yukata, which is a summer kimono. Shukkei-en Garden is 4-5 blocks from our Apartment. It is such a nice serine place. I couldn’t help myself; I had to take a picture. The kids fund raised to put a “Peace Garden” in a local park. The Pole in the center of this picture will be the center of the garden. This Blog is of our family's travels and experiences living in Hiroshima Japan. Saturday, November 17, 2007. Nathan’s class had a field trip to the Mitaki Buddhist Temple to study different religions. This temple is located up on one of the hill behind our church, overlooking Hiroshima. It has three different waterfalls around it. I have not had a chance to check this out yet. I hope to soon. Nathan entered the Hiroshima Peace Run this year. He bettered his time from last year by 2 minuets in the 5K.

This Blog is of our family's travels and experiences living in Hiroshima Japan. Tuesday, February 12, 2008. The Boys Day Out. Monday was a national holiday, so we all had the day off. The girls still had piano lessons at home so Nathan and I headed back up the mountain. The weather was perfect, about 40 deg F and sunny. Nathan really improved his snowboarding. He is starting to get up on edge and able to link turns even on the steeper intermediate hills. Strapping in ready to go! Nathan the snow board rat.

I think it was much easier the second year for us. I think the kids were really ready to go back. Last week there was a solar eclipse. It was a good excuse to play with the camera. Considering my camera is just a small digital point and shoot, the pictures aren’t that bad. Total eclipse. The red was kind of eerie.
