http://travelducks.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html

This Blog is of our family's travels and experiences living in Hiroshima Japan. Friday, August 24, 2007. Chris is our first family visitor. The kids were so excited to see her. Hailey showing off her Japanese fashion. She's wearing a Yukata, which is a summer kimono. Shukkei-en Garden is 4-5 blocks from our Apartment. It is such a nice serine place. It dates back to 1620, but was rebuilt after the bombing. We thought it would a nice place for a first day to help with the jet lag. Nijo-jo castle was built...

This Blog is of our family's travels and experiences living in Hiroshima Japan. Friday, May 23, 2008. Hailey Black and White. The other night I was reading to Hailey in bed and she fell asleep. I couldn’t help myself; I had to take a picture. The kids fund raised to put a “Peace Garden” in a local park. The Pole in the center of this picture will be the center of the garden. Each of the students made there own tile to be placed around it. The kids had a music presentation to match. Wednesday, May 07, 2008.

This Blog is of our family's travels and experiences living in Hiroshima Japan. Thursday, July 31, 2008. We can not believe it has been over two years since we began our adventure in Japan. We have made many friendships that we hope will last for years. If we visit back to Japan, or find any old pictures we will be sure to post them here. Party at Hiroshima Station. Check out the aggressive turtles. One last lesson in origami. We miss you Ami! Mitaki chapel has been our spiritual home in Hiroshima. T...

Travel Ducks: November 2007

http://travelducks.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html

This Blog is of our family's travels and experiences living in Hiroshima Japan. Saturday, November 17, 2007. Nathan’s class had a field trip to the Mitaki Buddhist Temple to study different religions. This temple is located up on one of the hill behind our church, overlooking Hiroshima. It has three different waterfalls around it. I have not had a chance to check this out yet. I hope to soon. Nathan entered the Hiroshima Peace Run this year. He bettered his time from last year by 2 minuets in the 5K.

This Blog is of our family's travels and experiences living in Hiroshima Japan. Tuesday, February 12, 2008. The Boys Day Out. Monday was a national holiday, so we all had the day off. The girls still had piano lessons at home so Nathan and I headed back up the mountain. The weather was perfect, about 40 deg F and sunny. Nathan really improved his snowboarding. He is starting to get up on edge and able to link turns even on the steeper intermediate hills. Strapping in ready to go! Nathan the snow board rat.

Travel Ducks: Lipsticks

http://travelducks.blogspot.com/2008/07/lipsticks.html

This Blog is of our family's travels and experiences living in Hiroshima Japan. Thursday, July 31, 2008. For the last two years, the crews at Lipsticks have taken care of the entire family's hair (and neck massages). There will be no way for us to replace the service Shigeki-san's shop provides. It is something we will always remember about Hiroshima. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Party at Hiroshima Station. New Ducklow Family Blog.

Travel Ducks: September 2007

http://travelducks.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html

This Blog is of our family's travels and experiences living in Hiroshima Japan. Saturday, September 01, 2007. First Day of School 2007. A new school year started at HIS this week. I think it was much easier the second year for us. I think the kids were really ready to go back. Last week there was a solar eclipse. It was a good excuse to play with the camera. Considering my camera is just a small digital point and shoot, the pictures aren’t that bad. Total eclipse. The red was kind of eerie.

Observations of Museums from Around the World. My Tumblr Museum Blog. Museums I Have Visited. January 10, 2017. It’s never a good day at the museum when you realize there is a problem with your collections. There is a moment of brief happiness that you at least discovered the problem. Then there is bit despair, how could I have not seen this sooner? Then, it is time to go to work and resolve the problem. We froze the items to make the mildew inactive. The Frogs are back! Many years ago at the Art of Living Canadian Ashram, we had a "frog situation.". There were an incredible amount of noisy frogs in the pond outside of Gurudev's kutir (cottage). The croaking was so loud and so constant, Gurudev (Sri Sri Ravi Shankar) couldn't even sleep at night. I moved to the Boon...

Don't know why its called the Russian Market, but regardless its a great market. Some of our team made dinner tonight which was Japanese Curry, we brought the curry from Japan. Everyone liked it a lot. Well, time flies and we are almost at the end of our stay here. Have a good night. Posted by Yuki-Navi at 4:40 AM.

And since its a race for a million dollars, every second of the race counts. You might have noticed that some contestants take risks, like taking a connecting flight with layovers less than an hour so as to avoid elimination. You wont believe that Ive experienced this situation not once, but twice! Written by RM Bulseco. Links to this post. Written by RM Bulseco.
