http://batesbrigade.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 20, 2012. We love hosting friends at the Bates Hotel (much friendlier than the famous Bates Motel! Ashley and Grayson stopped by on their way to a cruise leaving from Galveston. We had just enough time to have dinner, a slumber party, and a few hundred games of Go Fish. While Ashley and I visited and sipped coffee, Grayson became Cooper's new BFF by playing hide and go seek, pirate ship, and anything else a 5 year old could dream up. Just a few photos from. 0 notes from friends. But Coop...

Tuesday, April 17, 2012. This is us…. If there are any photos that represent “real life” at the Bates’ house, here they are! He’s got 8 legs… this one is HUGE… it’s moving! 8221; Every day after school, we’re in the yard, watering plants, looking for bugs, and soaking up the sunshine. I propped my camera on a bucket to take a few shots with the timer. Mom needs to be in the pictures, too! Someday I hope to look back on these sweet days with a smile…. Sunday, October 16, 2011. Our elementary school celebrates reading every year with a fun-filled week of events - contests, guest author visits, and my favorite, the Story Book Parade. EVERYONE in the school dresses as a book character and parades through the hallways to the applause of hundreds of clapping parents. It's a big deal! The teachers on each grade level choose a "theme" for their costumes (last year we were the characters from Hey Diddle Diddle - I was the moon! Here's my class of characters!

Sunday, January 8, 2012. This pirate ship was the HIT of Christmas morning. In fact, Cooper didn't even want to open any more presents after he laid eyes on the pirate ship and the host of "guys"! It was actually a last-minute gift that I bought used for 15 bucks! Cooper has played with it every single day! And "walk the plank, Luigi! Coming from the backyard before dinner! Monday, May 7, 2012. A little yard work. Just watering the lawn after school… nothing much. However, it NEVER is that simple. Oh, the joy of being five (and a half). Watering the lawn easily turns into an evening running through the sprinklers. Fun! Written in a rush by Megan Bates. 0 notes from friends. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Cooper made me a mother and together we are a family forever. You are the trip I did not take. You are the pearls I cannot buy. You are my blue Italian lake. A little yard work.

Thursday, December 29, 2011. Cooper's dreams came true when we met Santa for breakfast the weekend before Christmas. We were lucky to catch him as he stopped through The Woodlands! I love the sweet look on Cooper's face as he spoke with the big guy. o admiring! When Santa asked him what he'd like for Christmas, Cooper said without hesitation, "A remote control helicopter. Oh, and my two front teeth.". A REAL candy cane from the North Pole! What a fun mommy - son date! Written in a rush by Megan Bates.

Friday, July 27, 2012. Oregon Vacation {West Linn}. The Bates clan headed up to Oregon for a few weeks in one of our favorite places in the world, Black Butte Ranch! I took an unbelievable amount of pictures (or maybe, knowing me, you CAN believe how many photos I took.) and so the best way to share them may be in segments. First up: Hometown visit. We hopped off the plane in Portland and skipped over to the little town where we grew up: West Linn. Yep, loved that arcade! We all had fun at the park - -.
