I don't have time to write a real post at the moment but I just had to tell you all that it is 12 degrees and sunny today and it's been like this since Saturday! I just wanted to take a moment share that with you and rub it in, because I just checked the weather back at home and you all are getting a range of -17 to -20 today! Saturday, February 2, 2008. Another Weekend Excursion and Then Some. It should be interesting! We had good girl talk til...

The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page." -Saint Augustine. Thursday, April 24, 2014. A place to call ours, for real, for keeps, for starters. This is danger zone. rebecca joy: September 2014

The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page." -Saint Augustine. Tuesday, September 16, 2014. It's the 15th of September, and the heat was turned on. The heat. Summer has been clipped short, like a chicken's wing, and I am going to squawk about it. I believe I kept my vow- that I would try not to complain about the heat this summer, but soak up every morsel of vitamin D at my disposal to carry with me into the coming winter. I was banking on at least another month of storage.

The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page." -Saint Augustine. Wednesday, December 18, 2013. Talking about my girl. Tomorrow my girl turns 1. I distinctly remember the months d.r.a.g.g.i.n.g. by until the big 1 year milestone for my firstborn. How did 4 months pass by me without so much as an anecdote for #2? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). rebecca joy: Labour and Delivery, round 3

The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page." -Saint Augustine. Friday, October 24, 2014. Labour and Delivery, round 3. I woke up Tuesday morning a total grump. It was a rough night of kids crying to crawl into our bed and moving into hysterics when we moved them back into their own. There is only so much 'cuddling' I can handle at 9 months pregnant, and my kids are sprawlers, which doesn't allow for anyone to really sleep comfortably. I wasn't packed (despite James' badgering ove...

Sunday, March 30, 2008. Stourhead Weekend and Random Fun-ness of This Week. This past weekend was spent relaxing at Stourhead (did you honestly think I was going to do work all weekend? We stayed in the stables on the grounds and had the whole place to ourselves! This square building is the granary aka the girls' sleeping quarters. For all you Pride and Prejudice fans I got to check out Apollo’s Temple where Darcy professes his ardent love to Lizzy on that rainy day and they almost kiss! Saturday night w...

An English Excursion: January 2008
http://jodi-o.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 31, 2008. Week 2 - Weak Title. So what have I been up too? At first I thought this blog was going to say "I've been doing nothing special. It rained today. The end." but I was told that it would be the lamest blog ever and I realized it wasn't all that true either, I'm just lazy! Unfortunately, that reading wasn't nearly as interesting as lunch had been! Courtyard of New College Chapel, the inside of which looks more like a Cathedral. The awesome organ way up above the sanctuary. Don't ...

An English Excursion: For all of you who thought I was over here studying. . .
http://jodi-o.blogspot.com/2008/03/for-all-of-you-who-thought-i-was-over.html
Thursday, March 20, 2008. For all of you who thought I was over here studying. . . Too much fun best describes this past weekend! On Friday the entire group (sans Tim and Beth, who spent the weekend in Dublin) got together for a Boggle Tournament. A bunch of English students playing Boggle was a lot more hilarious and a lot less nerdy than it sounds, trust me! I totally bombed, by the way. . . I think I found three words. Heat # 2 in the Boggle tournament- feel the tension? And then decided we needed to ...
