CARLSON CONNECTIONS: October 2011
http://carlsonconnections.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 10, 2011. 1st Fall Trip of 2011. In warm September we set out on our first convention trip for 2011. Our first stop was Spartanburg, South Carolina where we exhibited our new Positive Action Preschool Bible curriculum for the very first time. The response to this colorful and well done curriculum has been very positive and encouraging. But we did encounter a bit of adversity. While in Spartanburg we experienced very heavy rains that caused our trailer awning to collapse. The workc...While...

CARLSON CONNECTIONS: April 2012
http://carlsonconnections.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 22, 2012. A Trip to Minnesota and Wisconsin. During our recent trip to Wisconsin and Minnesota we spent some time at the Mall of America. After lunch and a good walk in the mall we headed back toward our hotel in Plymouth. Driving up France Avenue in Edina, I said to Connie, "Can we stop by my old house and take a picture with my new camera? We pulled up in front of the house on a beautiful, sunny day - but a lady was sitting on the front step talking on a cell phone. When we returned to th...

Saturday, September 17, 2011. Minnesota "Memory Lane" Trip. On the weekend of Sept. 10-11 we traveled to Minnesota for a walk down "Memory Lane". Connie had the privilege to attend her 50th Robbinsdale High School Reunion. It was a fun time for her to reconnect with friends from the past. Here is a collection of memorabilia that was on display. We were able to sit with Dave and Sue Martin and enjoy fellowship. Dave was a classmate and a member of the 4th Baptist youth group. This picture is looking south...

Wednesday, July 04, 2012. Germany/Austria Trip #5 - Bratislava. On the final day of our tour we had the great privilege to visit Bratislava in the country of Slovakia. This historic city is only 35 miles from Vienna, and it is the capitol of the nation that was created when the former. Was divided into the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Since the fall of communism the city leaders have attempted to spruce up the drab apartment buildings with colorful paint. Still the legacy of communism is evident ever...

Pillsbury Memories: Pictures from Sebring, Florida
http://pillsburymemories.blogspot.com/2011/01/pictures-from-sebring-florida.html
Sunday, January 23, 2011. Pictures from Sebring, Florida. Jerry Webber came through famously in providing wonderful pictures of the recent visit by Clarke and Roslynn Poorman to Maranatha Village in Sebring, Florida. Here is Gil Seddon, Dennis Whitehead, Coach Poorman and Jerry Webber getting very friendly with the camera. Looks like Florida living is agreeing with them all. Looking at these pictures reminded me that I have on my desk a daily reminder of the Poorman's. In 1976 I traveled with Coach t...

Pillsbury Memories: Spurgeon Boys? & Freshmen Quartet
http://pillsburymemories.blogspot.com/2010/01/spurgeon-boys-freshman-quartet.html
Sunday, January 10, 2010. Roy Vasquez has sent me some outstanding photos. Here is one that is just great! It seems to me that this is a Spurgeon Society grouping. Am I correct, or is this a general group of us Pillsbury boys? Among some old slides I found this excellent picture of Roger teaching a morning Bible class on a Colorado camping trip in the summer of 1970. I was youth pastor in Normal, Illinois, and Roger came along with our group to be the daily Bible teacher. Welcome to Pillsbury Memories!
