Wednesday, July 13, 2011. Last Saturday we celebrated Anna's 8th birthday. Her birthday isn't until August 12 but we had a big party with friends and family now since there are many unknowns for the month of August. I made and decorated a cake and cupcakes for the party. We had a WONDERFUL time with slip and slides, water balloons, pools, etc in our backyard. Anna had the best time ever. Happy Birthday baby cakes! Her monkey cake that I decorated. The name of the game was "get Grant". Anna and cousin Lydi.

Monday, June 20, 2011. I have been meaning for the last few weeks to create a blog site for us to keep you all updated on our lives. Weeks have been busy and it hasnt happened though. I figured with our most recent announcement that it was time to start one so you could all be part of this new journey with us. We found out almost 2 weeks ago that we were expecting! Video of Anna finding out is also posted! This is the shirt we used to tell Anna-a matching shirt came with hers for the baby.

I've realized recently it's because my heart now has two homes: Haiti and Nebraska. Both places are incredible special to me with all their similarities and differences.
