The View From Hare: Dear Major League Baseball

The View From Hare. An alternative take on what is and isn't making the news. Tuesday, February 10, 2009. Dear Major League Baseball. I didn’t always hate you, really, I didn’t. I even used to defend you. When my friends would complain that the season was too long, the games too slow, boring, I stood up for you. Boring? Has pitching gone downhill? Maybe the air is just thinner than it used to be? It seemed everyone wanted to look anywhere but the most obvious place. Posted by Travis Hare.

The View From Hare. An alternative take on what is and isn't making the news. Saturday, February 7, 2009. Of Course It Would Be a Water Bong. So upon waking this morning I had a complete change of heart and decided to dedicate this blog solely to the stomach contents of Jessica Simpson! But then I saw this http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? And now I'm afraid of her. So it looks like we're back to the boring old news blog idea :(. Pop culture calling again to save the day? But now there's this! To the backwar...

Kendra Rubinfeld and Travis Hare. March 13, 2009 at 11:55 AM. I vote for Stewart to take Katie Couric's place. I think we can all agree that Stewart has earned a title higher than just a 'comedian'. This type of journalism dates back to Edward Murrow days. Way to go, Jon! March 13, 2009 at 4:33 PM. The View From Hare.

The View From Granny's Porch | Writing the memories, the joy, the journey, one blog at a time

The View From Granny's Porch. Writing the memories, the joy, the journey, one blog at a time. The View From Granny’s Porch. Bug-eyed Mama Provides Service with a Smile. And so it begins: summer vacation. All across the land teachers and school staff breathe a sigh of relief, their jobs once more successfully completed, while mothers walk around bug-eyed, stocking the fridge, planning summer schedules, and praying it doesn’t rain. And much to our delight, we find it is our turn to teach:. Or ride a bike.

Roasted chicken plays on our primal instincts…and unless you’re vegetarian, juicy charred meat is hard to resist. The View from Guppy Lake

The View from Guppy Lake. Monday, January 26, 2015. Never Take Color for Granted. Chris is seeing blue and yellow in art for the first time. At the aquarium, he saw fish and coral where he'd previously seen blurs. It would be difficult to overstate how much my life has changed since, about 4 months ago, I took a big step away from color blindness. People close to me have have noted changes in my personality - they say I'm more patient, relaxed, or happy. I suspect it's all true. I hope I never do it again.

The View from Hell | the search for patterns and the thickening of meaning

The View from Hell. The search for patterns and the thickening of meaning. March 24, 2015. March 25, 2015. The mountain is a natural, physical, geographic pattern that offers itself as a hard-to-fake measurement of human effort. Its ritual and cognitive significance is difficult to understand without climbing it, but I will offer an account of its place in the human order as best I can. Many places occupied by humans (including my current home) have no mountains at all. In. Here, the empty road curves ar...
