The View from Hell. Should we make new people? Should we force people to remain alive? Monday, November 3, 2014. Impro and the Cultural Destruction of Creativity. We have an idea that art is self-expression — which historically is weird. An artist used to be seen as a medium through which something else operated. He was a servant of the God. Maybe a mask-maker would have fasted and prayed for a week before he had a vision of the Mask he was to carve, because no one wanted to se his. Keith Johnstone, Impro.

The View from Hell. Should we make new people? Should we force people to remain alive? Friday, August 1, 2008. My Work on Antinatalism. Felix Guattari on The Function of Autonomy | attempts at living

https://attemptsatliving.wordpress.com/2014/06/28/the-function-of-autonomy

To make a system out of delusions. Felix Guattari on The Function of Autonomy. The dimension of organization is not on the same plane as the issue of autonomy. The issue of autonomy belongs to the domain of what I would call a function of autonomy, a function that can be embodied effectively in feminist, ecological, homosexual, and other groups, but also and why not? Central point, but to place them in a huge rhizome. June 28, 2014. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Laquo; Previous Post.

Geoengineering and death | attempts at living

https://attemptsatliving.wordpress.com/2015/01/07/geoengineering-and-death

To make a system out of delusions. The argument against geoengineering is simple and can be thought of as occurring in the discontinuous opening between the two positions that allegedly dominate the spectrum of possible positions. One the one hand is the new accelerationist return to Prometheanism, while on the other hand it is the terrified retreat of the precautionary principle. If its the latter case then we’d need a demonstration of why this is the case, otherwise Srnicek is just doing the old ...

The View from Guppy Lake. Monday, January 26, 2015. Never Take Color for Granted. Chris is seeing blue and yellow in art for the first time. At the aquarium, he saw fish and coral where he'd previously seen blurs. It would be difficult to overstate how much my life has changed since, about 4 months ago, I took a big step away from color blindness. People close to me have have noted changes in my personality - they say I'm more patient, relaxed, or happy. I suspect it's all true. I hope I never do it again.

The View from Hell. The search for patterns and the thickening of meaning. March 24, 2015. March 25, 2015.
