The Waiting Commuter

Wednesday, May 28, 2008. I saw this entry today on the Overheard in NY. Blog Its a rather funny entry as the only time I ever hear the voice of a subway conductor is when he/she is telling riders to stand clear of the closing doors. Although, I'm not quiet entirely. Conductor: Stand clear of the closing doors. Person in the back of the train, step out into the train. Step into the train! Excuse me, in the back with the grey shirt, step into the train. Yes you! I'm looking right at you! Conductor, to guy ...

The Waiting Commuter: And she's back.

http://thewaitingcommuter.blogspot.com/2008/05/and-shes-back.html

Sunday, May 18, 2008. Well, I'm feeling rather guilty for not keeping up with the blog. And so much has happened that I've simply forgotten most of the posts that I wanted to include. So in trying to get back into the habit of a routine. I'm going to shoot for a post a week. Ok so here are a few things that I remember:. My train hit a car. As I was driving on the Tappan Zee Bridge on my way home from class, a truck had managed to drive up onto the side railing. I took a double decker train to Silver Lake.

The Waiting Commuter: January 2008

http://thewaitingcommuter.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html

Thursday, January 31, 2008. Getting ready for V-Day? Why don't you send him or her a nice, romantic Valentine's Day e-card like this one:. Nothing says love like the subway. Thanks to Seana for sending me this! Change, change, chaaannge. A part of my commuting routine includes stopping at the newspaper stand in the Hoboken train station to pick up a mini can of Pringles. And a Vitamin Water. He just took your money! But still," he was beginning to turn red from laughing. I repeated "It was pocket change!

The Waiting Commuter: Excuses, excuses, excuses...

http://thewaitingcommuter.blogspot.com/2008/02/excuses-excuses-excuses.html

Tuesday, February 19, 2008. Excuses, excuses, excuses. I just started a new semester. I have sooooo much homework to do. Uhhh, nothing exciting has been happening on the trains? Ok, ok. I've been bad. I haven't been blogging. Well, hopefully with a few more cups of coffee and some spare time I can catch up. Please excuse my laziness! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Waiting Commuter: A Quickie...

http://thewaitingcommuter.blogspot.com/2008/05/quickie.html

Tuesday, May 27, 2008. My sister is probably hoping that I am about to recommend The Quickie. By James Patterson , but I'm not. If you're looking for a quick and light read for your commute, may I recommend The End of the Alphabet. By CS Richardson . And when I say light, the book is only 119 pages. So, I guess its considered more of a novella. This is an "unlikely" story about Ambrose Zephyr and his wife Zappora. I started off thinking, "this is ridiculous. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Squeaky wheels in the information world. This blog isn’t dead, it’s sleeping. Or it has Seasonal Affective Disorder, or is consumed by learning French, or is training for a marathon. In the case of our Leets, she’s a mother to a brand new baby boy, and we’re so proud. Anyway, in this slow season, I am inclined to draw on time-tested pastimes, namely, leisure reading. Kristy prolifically book-blogs all year-round. So, fellow librarians, how do you book-talk sucessfully? Feed You can leave a response.

The Waiting...

Monday, September 8, 2014. Joey and I thought we would set our wedding date to March 21, 2015 because it was the first day of Spring. With the venue that we found in California, that date was taken, so we decided on March 14, 2015. I was a little sad because the first day of Spring brought lots of hope to me this past year. It meant more sunshine! Here are some of my favorite engagement photos:. Sunday, June 8, 2014. My job didn't help me either. It was lonely because all of my co-workers worked an h...
