Growing, nurturing and raising 'lil Kilmers. Friday, December 6, 2013. I remember Bear's first word. (other than mama, dada, and no) being . "caaaar.". He loved seeing and saying "car". I can't believe in how two short years, his vocabulary has expanded exponentially. He loves saying big words. and I'm I sometimes astonished at how he uses them and often in wonder of where he picks them up. His latest word of the week is in this video below. Can you tell what his new favorite word is? Where I’m at.

There was a huge crowd and it took a few hours just to get a look at everything. 160;Of dark chocolate? One of the highlights for me was that we found a somewhat local farm. We sign...

Living and eating creatively with food allergies. Wednesday, April 8, 2009. Shortly after my last post, I realized I still have plenty to write about food. Especially food I love and could happily eat on a daily basis. Food such as. pancakes. That's right. I said "pancakes". I, someone who doesn't eat gluten, eggs, dairy, soy, or even much sugar, have been enjoying pancakes on a weekly basis ever since I discovered yet another gem from "The Cravings Place": . My favorite way to eat them?

queen of bites: The Vitamin D experiment
http://queenofbites.blogspot.com/2009/09/vitamin-d-experiment.html
Living and eating creatively with food allergies. Saturday, September 19, 2009. The Vitamin D experiment. In the Pacific Northwest, vitamin D is a precious thing and something we typically need to supplement for most of the year. It's not so much that we get tons of rain here, but we do get plenty of gray. The sun makes the occasional cameo appearance in winter but it's hardly enough to keep our vitamin D levels perky. September 22, 2009 at 7:41 PM. Thats really good that youre not reacting to it so far&...

queen of bites: Birthday Cupcakes
http://queenofbites.blogspot.com/2009/08/birthday-cupcakes.html
Living and eating creatively with food allergies. Monday, August 10, 2009. Yesterday was my birthday and I threw together a spontaneous "cupcake happy hour" in honor of said occasion. It was a perfect excuse for me to bake, share my bounty with friends, and celebrate my birthday at the same time. Earlier in the day, my husband and I went to see Julie and Julia. So it was truly a foodie day for me. The cupcake recipe I chose was Vanilla Cupcakes with Mocha Icing from Karina's Kitchen. For a personal touch...

Living and eating creatively with food allergies. Wednesday, December 24, 2008. Okay, I think I need a tutorial in food photography. Or maybe a better camera! This treat has been a huge success and I am already on my second batch. I have to say that any kind of chocolate mint combination is heaven as far as I am concerned, so this stuff rocks. Plus, it's relatively easy to make and doesn't require any baking, just some double-boiling action. I got this particular recipe from Kate over at her blog.
