the wide tent

Sing, o barren one who did not bear; burst into song and shout, you who have not been in labor! For the children of the desolate woman will be more than the children of her that is married, says the lord. enlarge the site of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; do not hold back; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes. for you will spread out to the right and to the left. and your decendants will settle the desolate towns. isaiah 54:1-3. Posts from Portland (Archives: June 2005 through May 2007). Life, as it happens to a homeschooling, clergy family in Portland. Thursday, May 24, 2007. I'm suddenly thinking, of course I should post about the upcoming Orthodox Peace Fellowship conference on my blog, as there are local people (Susan? Who may be interested in coming, and perhaps people from further away (Mimi? Who'd like to come. "Upcoming" is an overstatement- it starts tomorrow! Sorry for the late notice. I hope to see some of you there!

Posts from Portland (Archives: June 2005 through May 2007). Life, as it happens to a homeschooling, clergy family in Portland. Saturday, May 19, 2007. We've gotten lots of outside projects done at our house in these six months we've lived here (yeah, it's been that long! That isn't going to hold anything! So, the first project of the day is that Paul replaced every cabinet hinge screw with much longer ones. And here there was a disaster! Everything looks so lovely! A blog to serve the needs of the infertile lesbian fiber arts former-breastfeeding parents of neurodiverse twins community, particularly those who are left-leaning democrats employed in research and education. Don't all comment at once, we don't want to crash the server. December 21, 2005. The Reason for the Season. About that. It's about whether you will. Long-term, in that state. And between that, and where I and probably everyone reading this lives, is an unfathomable gulf. There's a lot of whining.

January 6, 2017. Wrinkles on her cheeks. She sits in her lonely corner, all day long. She lives in a big house, with lots of people,. But no one makes her feel at home. She has no one to talk to,. She just has the cold frosty air surrounding her. She brought her sons up with at most care and love,. She prayed day and night for them to be successful at work. Her prayers did work, successful and proud they were,. But no one thanked her for her selfless efforts. It is as though she has forgotten how to talk.
