http://ladyofwhimsy.blogspot.com/2012/04/diy-shrug-upcycle-from-turtle-neck.html
Monday, April 9, 2012. DIY Shrug upcycle from a turtle neck. Here's a real easy fashion upcycle with little to no sewing. Let's turn this old turtle neck shirt (with an ugly stain- but you can't see it in the pic) into a lovely shrug. Start by cutting off the bottom of the shirt. I just eyeballed it but you could determine how long you want it and measure and all that. It looks like I cut about 5 or 6 inches down from the armpit. I love taking out stitches as long as they aren't ones that I put in! Which...

Lady of Whimsy: Sewing project- Adding a bra top to my dress
http://ladyofwhimsy.blogspot.com/2012/03/sewing-project-adding-bra-top-to-my.html
Friday, March 16, 2012. Sewing project- Adding a bra top to my dress. This is what I was up to last night: I wanted to add some support/ coverage to the top of this dress but rogue bra straps are not a good accessory. It just worked out that I had an old bra (with padding, yay! That had worn out straps. Instead of throwing it away, I cut all the straps and band pieces off. The cups and the little piece that connected them to each other was left. All that was left was to sew it in place. Subscribe to: Pos...

Lady of Whimsy: Easy DIY Christmas Decorations with Garland
http://ladyofwhimsy.blogspot.com/2014/12/easy-diy-christmas-decorations-with.html
Saturday, December 20, 2014. Easy DIY Christmas Decorations with Garland. Here are some easy DIY Christmas decorations! The tree is just a Styrofoam cone (but you could use poster board shaped into a cone) wrapped with garland and the ends were secured by tucking them in so I can unwrap it after Christmas and decorate it differently for another holiday. No sense in having a million cones in my basement between holidays, right? This is a great idea for those of us who aren't professional wreath makers!

There were some great photo opportunities that I snatched right up too :). Don't these fellas look like they came out of a time machine? We talked with them for awhile and it was nice to see that kids so young are so knowledgeable and interested in our history. They have both been involved with reenactments since childhood! They even did a parachute drop! I can't w...

Yesterday I was thinking about what to post today and saw that I still had these pics on my computer. lol. Above is basically how I did it in a quick little diagram.
