Ooops can't believe how bad I have been at updating this blog! Well I had a very successful post-op appointment in February, everything going well and surgeon was impressed with strength and ROM. I have been cleared of all restrictions and don't need to see him again until next year. So, have just 3 goals left to complete this year,;. 19 July 2013 at 23:21.

For those of you who have recently asked what my PAO scar looks like now, at 18months post op, here are a few pics. The first one also shows the top of my FO scar from childhood surgeries. The horizontal part of the PAO scar measures around 6-7cms, and the vertical part around 4 cms. I think its pretty small compared to most PAOs. Friday, 15 October 2010. My FAI Hip Pain.

I'm not sure if its easier knowing what to expect or not. Ok, so maybe the last post was slightly over optimistic. I have spent the last couple of months battling between tendonitis in the operated side, a general decline in the unop hip who has decided it wants some attention too, and ongoing stomach issues due to taking NSAIDS for too long. My UK Hip Story. The story of my hip dysplasia,and the Periacetabular Osteotomy Surgeries to correct it. Thursday, 15 December 2011. Well, I am around the 16 week mark, and things couldn't be better. My left, most recently operated side is behaving really well is is more or less pain free the majority of the time,just a little discomfort if it gets really tired or its very cold. Reading last weeks update all that exercises was slightly too much and I ended up sore and using one crutch again over the weekend. Monday was back in the gym, this time did the bike for 5 mins. On an increased resistance and the cross trainer for 10 mins. But activating the glutes. I was absolutely shattered when I got home, and definitely feeling it...
