Lost | This Beautiful Holy Mess

This Beautiful Holy Mess. Life is messy and beautiful. Every story counts. Dealing with the Mess. Today is a tough day. Driving the 13 or so hours from Orlando, Florida back to Louisville, Kentucky, my husband and I have a lot of time to talk and think. 8221; Craig and I just looked at each other, unsure of how to answer that question. It’s a strange feeling. Unsettling. Posted in Dealing with the Mess. August 10, 2015. Dare To Be Awkward and Uncomfortable. The Path to Okay →. Enter your comment here.

This Beautiful Holy Mess. Life is messy and beautiful. Every story counts. Dealing with the Mess. Dare To Be Awkward and Uncomfortable. Jesus spent His whole life engaging the people most of us have spent our whole lives trying to avoid. Bob Goff. I’ve been going a lot of thinking lately about moving out of my comfort zone. I read a post at Love Thy Neighborhood this week about how bold love sometimes requires us to be awkward. Building upon that, I told Craig. Me: I think I’ve found my tattoo! Jamie the...

This Beautiful Holy Mess. Life is messy and beautiful. Every story counts. Dealing with the Mess. When Your Floors Aren’t Level and Your Walls Aren’t Straight. I’m sitting in Vint Coffee Shop. As chaotic as it is to live inside my head. And day trips to Cannon Beach. And watching a movie relaxing in a recliner in the over-21 section while being served dinner at our favorite theater, Cinetopia. I am learning to step out of my comfort zone and appreciate the unpaved path. Posted in Dealing with the Mess.

For those of you not familiar with Mighty Mouse here is his theme song: https:/ www.youtube.com/watch? There are a lot of Jesus teachings in the Mighty Mouse theme song. On a journey trying to follow Him. A Walk Through Exodus. October 2, 2016. I just finished reading. By Elie Wiesel. Rarely does a book impact me emotionally. Did It’s a true story of a 15 year old Jewish boy who, along with his family, was forced by the Nazis to leave his home. He endured a year of hardship and survival in Nazi concentration camps. Dare to Be Happy. Encouraging Words for Today's World. 30 Days to Happiness: R is for Relax. The answer lies in the fact that I may be relaxing my body, but my mind is still on the job. I would venture to say that our minds are the hardest working organ in our bodies. For example, the heart basically has one job to do, pump blood. The liver gets poisons out of our systems; the lungs take in air and release carbon dioxide; the stomach digests food. Read this list of what our brains do:. Begin with the toe...

Monday, October 17, 2016. Sunday - Treat Day. Yesterday we spent the day at home - mowing grass, eating some really awesome re-purposed left-overs (chicken pot pie in a cast iron skillet), and making our weekly treat! The dough had a 3 hour chill time, which is always fun when you've got a 3 year old waiting for his only chance of something sweet for the week! Every 5 minutes: "are the cookies ready yet? Eventually he gave up and went outside to "help Daddy mow". I was able to get Boo to cut out his ...

Friday, August 14, 2015. Why We're Sending Our Daughter to Public School. I remember this time last year ( and the year before that. I remember commenting on one mama's picture. But a year has passed and in just three days,. I will do it. I have to g...

this beautiful inheritance – "The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance." – Psalm 16:6
The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance. – Psalm 16:6. 100 Days of Prayer. December 11, 2016. The lyrics came into my mind last Thursday and I haven’t stopped thinking about that song or listening to it since. When I fear my faith will fail, Christ will hold me fast. When the tempter would prevail, He will hold me fast. I could never keep my hold through life’s fearful path. For my love is often cold. He must hold me fast…”. Fine, God, do what you want.

Waves that Come and Go: 9 months in Italy. May 8, 2015. I suppose it’s the same concept as writing lists once on paper, you can move forward with a plan and your energies are more constructively spent. We moved to Italy 9 months ago. We’ve experience almost all of the four seasons in beautiful Vicenza (including a snowfall! And have visited castles and medieval hilltop towns, Florence, Tuscany, Verona and Venice. We’ve eaten more pizza, pasta, and brioches. Than ever. We have fallen in love with fresh.
