Assorted reflections on life. Charlemagne, checking in →. March 20, 2014. My mom recently moved to Port Townsend, Washington and sent this photo from the nearby town of Poulsbo. I quite enjoy the misty aspect of the solemn hill. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. Charlemagne, checking in →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Your email address will not be published. Assorted reflections on life. Monthly Archives: March 2013. March 13, 2013. Angela and Steven took the kids to Enchanted Rock for a few days during spring break. Assorted reflections on life. Charley on the edge →. March 10, 2014. The shower is mostly tiled now, and it looks very nice. The toilet did end up in the tub, but it’s for a good cause: they’re prepping the floor for tile. I’m hoping the whole thing will be finished this week! This entry was posted in Uncategorized. Assorted reflections on life. March 7, 2014. My house has been the scene of much activity this week: there is a bathroom remodel underway. I have always wanted to replace the carpet with tile, and the shower has become increasingly in need of replacement also. A crew has been working hard this week, and the progress I’ve seen is hopeful. First there was the demolition, on Monday. Then the wallpaper was removed and replaced with paint. I hope to be able to post photos of the finished product before long!

Assorted reflections on life. Charley on the edge. And the work goes on →. March 11, 2014. On Sunday morning, having dragged myself out of bed an hour short on sleep, I discovered that I was out of the bottled frappuccinos that I normally drink for breakfast. In great need of caffeine, I stopped by a gas station to pick one up. As I walked toward the counter to pay, the clerk asked me, “What color do you use? 8221; This didn’t make any sense to me, so I said, “What? 8220;Um…yes.”. Charley on the edge.

Way Up North Where The Air Is Cold. A tale of mothering and military in the Interior of Alaska. Monday, May 25, 2009. Well, we're here. We got here after a leisurely 2 day trip back to Fairbanks. We've had a few adventures; our plumbing was a mess after four relatively inactive months, the kitchen was torn apart in a gf overhaul, and both the kids have been completely discombobulated by the light and time change. Tuesday, May 19, 2009. Going back to Alaska. Friday, May 15, 2009. We blew off our last day ...

Assorted reflections on life. Changes underway →. March 7, 2014. Last summer, when my dad passed away, I received a lovely sympathy plant from my coworker and his wife. I’m usually pretty bad at keeping plants alive, but I made up my mind to do my best with this one. It looked very nice for quite a while:. But now when I look at it, I seem to hear in my mind the words “mostly dead” – as spoken by Miracle Max in. This poor plant could certainly use a miracle. This entry was posted in Uncategorized.
