http://bopbop.blogspot.com/2011/08/52-weeks-ago.html
Wednesday, August 24, 2011. Since last Friday, the Husband and I have been reminiscing about the chain of events that happened 52 weeks ago up to Baby's birth:. Friday, 52 weeks ago: "Eat, Pray, Love" with Brenda. Saturday, 52 weeks ago: party with Impax friends before we became parents. Sunday, 52 weeks ago: my parents came to have dinner with us. Monday, 52 weeks ago: maternity leave starts; lunch with old analytical friends. In the evening, the Husband and I take a walk to the grocery store. Note to s...

Unnecessary musings of a random nature. Saturday, July 14, 2012. Wow - a lot sure can happen in three months! The biggest news is that I graduated from the University of Washington with my Master's of Education degree. Here I am after the ceremony with my "hood" on. Now I am job-hunting, teaching summer school two days a week, and REALLY enjoying a break from homework and studying. I have lots of funny stories and now I also have time to share them! Cheers friends, I've missed you. Im so proud of you!

Bop bop: On Being a Supermom
http://bopbop.blogspot.com/2011/04/on-being-supermom.html
Wednesday, April 27, 2011. On Being a Supermom. Sometimes I'm convinced that I am a supermom, along with all the other busy working moms out there in the world. Take this evening, for example. When we got home at 5:30 pm, I. Took the trash cans out for garbage day. Warmed up milk and watched my baby drink the whole bottle (he made sure not to leave one drop left too! While I pumped more milk. Changed his diaper and took out toys to entertain him. Made some pasta for Baby to eat. So we laid down on the be...

Whatever: Two Cultures, One Marriage
http://whateverkaty.blogspot.com/2008/07/two-cultures-one-marriage.html
Unnecessary musings of a random nature. Friday, August 1, 2008. Two Cultures, One Marriage. My Mom says now that I was always a good judge of character, others tell me that it was pure dumb luck that our marriage has been so successful. I think it's more a combination of the two along with lots of patience and hard work on both of our parts. The toughest part has been reconciling our two very different cultures into one household. Just letting you know there's no crazies here. It was husband's suggestion...

Whatever: Snowpocalypse 2012
http://whateverkaty.blogspot.com/2012/01/snowpocalypse-2012.html
Unnecessary musings of a random nature. Thursday, January 19, 2012. When it snows in the Seattle area, the whole town shuts down. The Oatmeal has a comic. That pretty much sums up the conversation that everyone in Western Washington has been having lately. But I prefer the pictoral proof of Snowmaggedon descending upon Seattle. And all my Facebook friends who were praying for snow, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! I hate snow. I hate cold. I hate ice. I wonder if they need English teachers in Mexico? I could NEVER ...

My Life as a Spanish Teacher: May 2012
http://profesoradeespanol.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
My Life as a Spanish Teacher. Teaching students and student teachers. Monday, May 21, 2012. Swept under the rug. We had a department meeting today for the first time since about January. (Our school's been using meeting time for other purposes this year.) As expected, we talked about nothing serious and continued to side-step our issues (i.e. the lack of curriculum). But really? Our department leader is retiring this June, so what is there to be said at this point? Especially with no curriculum? That's m...
