Crazy Legs: I get it!
http://a-mcrazylegs.blogspot.com/2012/07/i-get-it.html
I used to call myself a runner with dreams of running a 3:45 marathon. I haven't given up on that dream but these days I'd call myself a cyclist. Road, CX, MTB, racing or for fun. Having a ball. This is my training log. Tuesday, July 31, 2012. Today I went up to DISC to put myself through another hour of track torture. To my complete and utter surprise, I managed a 30 lap warm up and felt good. I floated up to the blue line and was comfortable to stay there. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Be happy with the bike you have, ride for fun, stop and help someone that has a flat tire, say hi to someone as you pass them, ask for permission to "draft", don't be a lemming. Friday, September 3, 2010. September is National Wave and/or Say Hi to Another Cyclist Month. What does all this mean? 1) See another cyclist approaching. 2) Remember what the lemming says, this is probably a friendly. 3) Lift hand off handlebar and try to smile. 5) See other rider's reaction. 2) Look at other cyclist. To be hone...

The Boothby Chronicles: Nutmeg and Raleighdon

She was awfully cute, though. 3 months later we were married. I was NOT a cat lover. I tend to favor dogs over cats since they just have a way of always keeping life entertaining. Our dog Mooch was a great example of this. When our friend Jim was teaching Josiah about roping calves, Mooch had a calf of his own in mind. She had to do it with me, the one who doesn't like cat puke, cat screeching and all the attendant difficulties to tend to her every need. the result? And named him LUMPY. Lumpy was the...

My Ass Finds No Fault with New Asphalt. At any rate, we took off north, in serach of a burger, fries and a milkshake. There just happens to be a great place about 10 miles away (PERFECT! And we did just a 4.4 mile ride around their neighborhood, but at least we got it in. So when I picked him up at the UW campus on Monday morning, with the sun shining and the thermometer in the truck saying 50 degrees, both he and I were smiling pretty good. http://kristi-endurancejunkie.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
What happens when girl meets sneakers, bike, and goggles. Sunday, April 14, 2013. Step by step, stroke by stroke I am getting stronger and faster. Today is April 14, 2013. Less than two months til Quassy 70.3 and 3.5 months til IMLP. My work outs are getting longer, bricks have started, long endurance swims have started, and I am up to 16 miles on the run. I am feeling incremental changes in my speed and strength each week. It is amazing how much that accident rattled my nerves and confidence on the bike...

The Boothby Chronicles: The Laying On Of Hands
http://theboothbychronicles.blogspot.com/2011/11/laying-on-of-hands.html
The Laying On Of Hands. I began to pay more attention as the days turned to weeks and it seemed like every time I began to become discouraged, someone would pat me on the arm, shake my hand, kiss me on the forehead (Renin did this every single time she visited me! Tom came down from Canada and spent an entire week when I was beginning to lose hope. He not only touched me every time he came, but brought me a talisman that provided healing of its own kind. Chris and Deena came, and when they did, Deena bro...
