Baby Makes Four: Weekly Grocery Shopping
http://ababymakesfour.blogspot.com/2014/02/weekly-grocery-shopping.html
Tuesday, February 4, 2014. This week I went to 3 different stores. I didn't need anything for the dinners I had planned, so I just needed to pick up some things for breakfasts, lunches and snacks. Because there weren't many things I needed. I was able to shop the sales for things to stock up on. Yesterday I ran to Trader Joe's in the morning to do a quick shop before our snow storm started. I bought:. 32oz tub of plain lowfat organic yogurt. Bagged salad (baby spring mix). I spent $25.18. This is a great...

Sunday, September 30, 2012. My September Foodie Penpal Package. I participate in 3 different food packages each month. I am in love with all 3 and have recently signed up for one more that starts in October. Which makes it a grand total of 4 packages a month :). Second to arrive was my Foodie Penpal package from Sara and her blog is Magia e Pasta. Sara sent an email asking not just my likes and allergies but several questions:. Where do you live? Do you have any allergies or food dislikes? Foodie Penpals...

Happiness At The Core. Maya’s Name Gallery. Though we were emotionally ready to have a baby, I wanted to plan it so that I would be done with my masters degree before having to take care of an infant. So we waited. Meanwhile my husband got a new, fabulous job and we bought a house! They opened the side and I was able to touch her hand and talk to her. I told her that she was getting to go in a helicopter her first day of life. She tried to breathe for me and gave me the reassurance I needed to le...The n...

http://ababymakesfour.blogspot.com/2014/02/what-we-eat-for-breakfast.html
Thursday, February 6, 2014. What We Eat For Breakfast. To go along with my series on grocery budgeting and meal planning, I thought I would share with you the things that we eat at other times of day, not just dinner. At our house, breakfast is typically very predictable. In fact, our whole morning routine is pretty predictable. Breakfast is a nice meal for me because it's predictable, so I always know which ingredients I need to keep in stock. If I notice i'm running low on something, I just add it ...

Baby Makes Four: Meal Plan Monday & Recipes
http://ababymakesfour.blogspot.com/2014/02/meal-plan-monday-recipes.html
Monday, February 17, 2014. Meal Plan Monday and Recipes. Here is my meal plan for the week:. Quinoa Pizza bites and steamed broccoli (me) and English Muffin pizzas with leftover sweet peas (the kids). We are supposed to go to a friend's house for dinner. If the snow ruins that plan, I'll have a tuna sandwich with spinach on a flat-out wrap, and the rest of my steamed broccoli from Monday. The kids will have fish sticks and finish up their leftover peas. We'll eat at my mom's house. 1 tsp dried basil.

Monday, March 3, 2014. We had a very low-key weekend around here, and a fairly slow week planned. Hopefully that means I won't get crazed and cranky and end up throwing my meal plan out the window. Annie's Mac and Cheese, peas and broccoli (kids). Dinner at my mom's house. Birthday Party for one of the kids' friends. If you mis...

Tuesday, March 26, 2013. Tasty Tuesday: Delicious Banana Bread! Stephanie is very into baking lately, and asks me every day what we're going to make. I love the time that she and I get to spend together in the kitchen, and I have to say that she's a very good helper! She pours things into the bowl and mixes everything together for me. She is always proud of our final product and tells me that she is my star chef. Here is the recipe. Enjoy! 1/3 C melted butter. 1 egg, beaten. 1 teas baking soda. 5) Pour m...

Friday, March 21, 2014. Grocery Planning on a Budget. I've spent a lot of time over the past month and a half sharing my meal plans, food budget and grocery store purchases with you. Today I decided to share the process of how I figure out what to buy at the store and which store to buy it at. Ideally I get all of my shopping done one day a week. If it's a week that I need to hit 4 stores though, I will split it up because that's a lot to do in one day. Links to this post. Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Here's...
