Monthly Archives: November 2010. Marine Corps Ball 2010. November 6, 2010. Thomas & Elizabeth. Thomas and I went out for some grown up time at the Marine Corp birthday ball on Thursday. It felt weird to not have William with us, but we had a really good time. William had a good time with a very special babysitter, too! What's going on. Because It Was Just That Fun. November 3, 2010. Thomas & Elizabeth. Here are some more pictures from Halloween! We were the pumpkin carving observers. Drawing on the face.

Monthly Archives: June 2011. June 8, 2011. Thomas & Elizabeth. We totally did, by the way! Thomas got promoted to Corporal in March (did I mention that either? I’m terrible aren’t I :D) and we rate a new house. So now we’re living in Oceanside and we have a yard area and a playground and we love it! The point is, I’m putting it out there that I will have pictures of the new place by this weekend. Because maybe if I tell you I’m doing it, I’ll really do it. Maybe. What's going on. June 8, 2011.
Saturday Beach Day! | Thomas and Liz
https://thomasnliz.wordpress.com/2011/06/05/saturday-beach-day
June 5, 2011. Thomas & Elizabeth. Thomas: “Do you think it’s warm enough to go to the beach? Liz: “I dunno, lemme check.”. Liz: “Yeah, should we take lunch? Thomas: “Sure.”. And that is the story of how we ended up at the beach with a picnic lunch on Saturday afternoon. Also I’ve got a wicked sunburn on my shoulders because I forgot that my shirt had a low cut back😦. Monthly Archives: December 2010. The Christmas Day Post. December 29, 2010. Thomas & Elizabeth. Coming down the stairs on Christmas morning! And he ate his cookies (except for the mushy part of course😉 ). Opening presents is fun! Baby plays with bows…. Daddy plays with bows…. Mama plays with bows…. While William napped, we put together his new toy shelves and put away all his toys. Isn’t this the most fun play area ever? What's going on. The Christmas Eve Post. December 29, 2010. What Could be More Appropriate…. February 3, 2011. Thomas & Elizabeth. Than a beach theme for our blog! Nothing if you ask me. My brain can’t even comprehend that it is cold and snowy anywhere else. Isn’t it this sunny and gorgeous everywhere? Well, it should be! This entry was posted in What's going on. One response to “. What Could be More Appropriate…. February 4, 2011 at 6:36 am. It must be the excess sunshine that makes Californians so out of touch. Can’t wait to get there. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Life After 50: May 2013
http://conniemomalightner.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 22, 2013. My little brother Doug is a Battalion Chief for the Edmond Fire Department in Oklahoma. He has been on the job for 23 years now. During this time he has responded to countless emergencies and unfortunately has seen his share of disasters. He was on the scene, searching through the rubble after the bombing in OKC. I can't begin to imagine what he has seen and dealt with during his career. Yesterday afternoon we responded to Moore and got our assignment to go to Plaza. I love you,.

Life After 50: June 2013

Saturday, June 1, 2013. My name is Connie. Hello, my name is Connie and I am an addict. My drug of choice? The Pioneer Woman's Salsa. That's right, I am addicted to this salsa. I make it 2-3 times a week and when that jar starts to get low, I start getting very anxious. I start checking to see if I have cilantro, limes, tomatoes and Rotel. If there is anything from the recipe missing, I have to go to the store immediately and replace it in my pantry. I told you, I am an addict. My work here is done.

Life After 50: It's been a while
http://conniemomalightner.blogspot.com/2013/10/its-been-while.html
Tuesday, October 1, 2013. It's been a while. Today is October 1st. I have been absent from my blog for quite a while. With good reason I assure you. Many , many good reasons in fact. There have been numerous trips to Boston, Cincinnati, Tulsa and even Hawaii. And we added to our family! That's right, we have another precious grand baby in our family, Miss Caroline Kai! More on her later. Caroline was born on September 9th at 9:25 am, weighing 7lbs 4 oz and 21 inches long. I was able to spend 3 weeks ...

Life After 50: For Sale
http://conniemomalightner.blogspot.com/2013/05/for-sale.html
Monday, May 13, 2013. Well, we did it. Our house is officially on the market. Not going to lie, just a little scared about this. I have always felt very confident in our other moves. I am sure I will get there with this move, just not quite there yet. But I know God has a plan and I have to trust that everything will happen as it is meant to be. As one of my darling daughters (Alissa) said, Everything will be fine in the end, if it isn't fine, it isn't the end. Hope she is right. Jamesie beats the tumor.

Friday, December 13, 2013. One week from today, yes, you heard that right, ONE WEEK! They will be here. The Boston Babies and the Cincinnati babies. The OKC baby doesn't get here until Tuesday. I have one million things to do before they arrive. Anyone want to place a wager on how much I actually get done? Don't bet on me people, that would be a losing bet for sure. Let me count the ways. Oh forget it, there are too many to count and I have to get busy. Because they are coming. And I can hardly wait!

Life After 50: November 2012
http://conniemomalightner.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 27, 2012. What a week we had! It started on Tuesday with a trip to Tulsa to see Ed's parents. Donald is doing pretty well physically, but unfortunately the memory and confusion issues are getting worse. But he seems happy and is adjusting to his new surroundings pretty well. Lovella is doing better as well, seems more rested and not quite so stressed. We had dessert with Doug and his family later that evening. So good to spend some time with them all. Saturday was a busy day, mani/pedi'...

Life After 50: December 2012
http://conniemomalightner.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 15, 2012. Yesterday I was sad because I wanted to celebrate my parents 55th wedding anniversary with them. I was feeling sorry for myself because my Mother died 10 years ago, 3 months before my parents 45th anniversary. I was being self centered and self-pitying. And then, I turned on the news. Dear Lord, I am so ashamed. Lord, we need your guidance now. Please be with the families in Newtown, Connecticut. Comfort them as only you can. Links to this post. Wednesday, December 12, 2012.

Just another WordPress.com site. May 2, 2011. After describing his happy childhood within that domestic circle, Victor opens Volume I, Chapter II with a rather banal note about his parent’s plans for his education. Without explanation, he then offers a barely insensible transition to his mother’s health, a plot development that, given its significant impact upon the protagonist’s life, might have been a more developed piece of the story. Instead, Victor offers an unprepared modulation;. Moreover, Victor’...

Thomas, Kristin and Mason. Monday, November 7, 2011. For Mason's first official Halloween going to the neighbors house he caught on quick. He liked knocking on the door and then the neighbors filling his bucket with all sorts of yummy treats. After the two neighbors houses it was such nice weather we sat outside while Mason enjoyed his sucker and we passed out Candy to the neighbor kids. My little monkey was very good! TJ Goes for a Walk | Incidents, Encounters and Adventure on the Appalachian Trail
TJ Goes for a Walk. Incidents, Encounters and Adventure on the Appalachian Trail. Sassafras Gap Shelter to Brown Fork Shelter. April 23, 2014. Day 13 N. Carolina 70 Rain 153.1. N Carolina is proving to be more vertical than Georgia. The ups and downs are longer and steeper. There are also more rock slides. The hills also seem to have a lot of clay in them which is pretty slippery when wet. Not much to see today except where I am going to put my feet. Posted from WordPress for Android. April 23, 2014.
This and That
Wednesday, April 17, 2013. Tuesday, July 17, 2012. Today marks the halfway point in my pregnancy! I know I still have a long way to go, and I cannot WAIT to meet our little baby - but I keep reminding myself that I only experience being pregnant for the first time once. So for the first time in my life, I am kicking back and just enjoying the ride. We all know what the "halfway" point of any pregnancy means - WE GET TO FIND OUT THE GENDER! The gender of our baby, it doesn't get better folks! It was a mir...
The Journal
View my complete profile. Friday, April 25, 2008. Friday, March 28, 2008. Recently we experienced a 2 hour bus ride to our community where 3 nuns and a minister boarded with a mission. Their mission, as they told us, was to use this time to share to us the Glory of God, Alleluia. The trip began with some brief speeches about why we needed saving and we are all sinners who have no hope without the belief of God in our lives. When the bus started to fill up and people standing had no room to move the group...
