Visiting Flea Markets and Thrifts in France. This is my little blog about all the wonderful and quirky stuff I see while hanging out at different flea markets and thrift stores in France. If you have never been here, you should go! We went to one of the rare. Would you a like a doorknob? The old schoolhouse said.

Visiting Flea Markets and Thrifts in France. This is my little blog about all the wonderful and quirky stuff I see while hanging out at different flea markets and thrift stores in France. Wednesday, July 23, 2008. Saint Briac is a beautiful port village filled with old stone villas. Sunday morning it held its own big, annual brocante. There were lots of sellers and lots of buyers. Who wouldn't come treasure hunting among views like this? Even the extraterrestrials were there. All I can say is ouch! Broca...

Wednesday, July 30, 2008. Merdrignac seems to have something of a British expatriate community. I heard them and saw them, buying and selling, in much higher proportion than I normally do, and much more than I'd expect from this place. The upside for me was finding a few boxes of English books. Yay for me! First, there ...

Visiting Flea Markets and Thrifts in France. This is my little blog about all the wonderful and quirky stuff I see while hanging out at different flea markets and thrift stores in France. Sunday, June 29, 2008. Le Vésinet is one of the wealthiest towns in all of France! So how could I miss this street sale? I like the blue guitar. You don't see blue ones very often, do you? This is a vintage ad for egg cognac, so cognac presumably made with eggs. Eew. Links to this post. Thursday, June 26, 2008. I actual...

Thrifting For Fun

Wednesday, February 3, 2010. Having a party is lots of fun, but can be quite an expense. If you are having a party and plan ahead, you could utilize yard sales and thrift stores to purchase items for your party and save on some of those party needs. Some really great items that you may need to have a party, like large bowls or baskets for chips and dips you can usually pick up very inexpensively. When I buy baskets, I clean them up a bit buy brushing them off and then spraying them with rubbing alcohol.
