These were forwarded by a friend of a friend. someone put up a motion detector device with a camera to see what kind of wildlife were visiting his watering tank in south Texas. The first pictures were of a deer, mountain lion, and owl. April 14, 2009 at 11:56 AM. My immediate thought was that looks like some kind of badger. April 15, 2009 at 8:10 PM. Imagine painting a subject- and you are close enough to your canvas to use small brush strokes, and yet your subject comes alive with light and dark and shape and line, and we see it as a complete work. That's what it's like sometimes to write a long work- or even a short one. You concentrate on the small brush strokes that you hope lead to the big story, the big picture.
