Laura Vanderbeek: February 2014
http://lauravanderbeek.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 27, 2014. I cleaned up my square foot gardens in February. I cleaned out the weeds and I raked the tops of each of my square foot gardens. I also cleaned out the remaining carrots (half eaten by voles) from the west square foot garden. I couldn't turn the soil yet, still frozen about half way down. Probably a good thing. I'm thinking of creating a wire mesh cage of some sort to keep the voles out. Any ideas? Beeks by the Lake. Labels: Little Finger Carrots. Wednesday, February 26, 2014.

Laura Vanderbeek: Getting organized for Spring Gardening
http://lauravanderbeek.blogspot.com/2014/03/getting-organized-for-spring-gardening.html
Saturday, March 08, 2014. Getting organized for Spring Gardening. Back to why I was in the basement working on my indoor garden. My whole goal was to get the laundry room clean and organized before I start pouring my efforts into the yard. Some items needed to go back where they belonged. It's been raining and so it is easier to stay and work indoors. Wonderful new or refined activities fill my life just like the organized items that went back into the drawers in my laundry room. Katie's Kitchen Garden: April 2011
http://katieskitchengarden.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 24, 2011. Wednesday, April 20, 2011. Wordless Wednesday: Spring Veggies. Tuesday, April 19, 2011. I loathe squirrels. We used to have at least a polite relationship. I have a problem with them digging up my porch plants, despite the fact that I have tens of thousands of acorns all over my yard. Now, however, they have gone too far. They dug up my fancy reblooming iris and flung it in the porch to rot. Monday, April 18, 2011. Sunday, April 17, 2011. Saturday, April 16, 2011. I always plant m...

https://gardeninggonebad.wordpress.com/2010/11/24/peanut-butter-pumpkin-chocolate-pie-oh-yes
Already thinking fo gardening in January! Peanut Butter, Pumpkin, Chocolate Pie! November 24, 2010. I have no clue if this recipe is new or old or even around. But I came up with a very simple version… that everyone who has tried it wants the recipe! So with that said, if you try to make it, let me know how it was accepted in your family and friends circles. Warm Nutella in microwave for 30 seconds till nice and gooey spreading. Take rubber spatula and spread Nutella generously on pie crust. 2 responses ...

Alaska Gardening? | Gardening Gone Bad
https://gardeninggonebad.wordpress.com/about
Yes, we garden. In this place called Alaska. No, we don’t live in Igloo’s year round…. I started container gardening. Years ago. I was never really able to garden as I never had a yard, but saw people putting plants of various types in home depot buckets. I thought, HEY I have home depot buckets and I could do that! And gosh darn it, now this thing called container gardening has become an obsession and I am hooked and moving on to hot houses, and raised beds. And more and more land needed. You are commen...

Thursday, April 10, 2014. Spring tilling and tender mercies. Because we took an amazing vacation to Florence, Oregon and Crescent City, California for spring break I really got behind on my garden. I kept thinking I would just ask my neighbor to till it while I was gone. Totally forgot. Ugh. Call it a coincidence if you want but I know it is a tender mercy from a loving Savior who knew I was busy in the service of others and doing the best I could. I was even able to get the organic fertilizer on th...
