Sunday, 18 January 2009. I miss the gulf stream! So we got back safe and sound, we landed in the snow and t hasn't stopped yet! There's about 1-2 foot outside and the temperature dropped to -22°C on Wednesday, that's similar to summer temperatures in the Arctic circle. Brrrr. Here are some lovely pictures of our immediate environs:. This is the house over the road, I think it's beautiful anyway, without being covered in snow and icicles. Speaking of icicles. Oh, and this is my office. Yes we (they) did.

I'm pretty much busy all the time at the university, between teaching the kiddie-winks and taking classes I hardly have enough time to drink beer! Friday, 15 August 2008. Flee markets, garage sales and newcastle brown ale. So, since last blog. we got the keys for the flat, but can't move in til tuesday now because they need to change the locks. OH! We went on the freeway! Tim is driving like a pro. An antique dresser. i am very pleased with myself. we just sent the boys round to collect it while we clear up the mess we made cooking. the clearing up has not yet begun. instead we are drinking a lot of coffee. oh dear.
