Tim's Window to the West. Monday, October 6, 2008. Yes, I am a bum. My last few weeks have been exciting. I traveled to Novgorod two (three? Well, I guess that's about it for now, I'll try to think about more interesting topics to write about in the future, and I'll try to keep to once-a-week updates, in addition to some pictures of my apartment, which you all haven't seen yet. That's all for now! Posted by Tim Huether. Interesting. Do you want to be an immigrant? October 7, 2008 at 1:20 AM. I was wonder...

Tim's Window to the West. Wednesday, September 3, 2008. Me and jerome, the gnome around the globe, in chicago. Fortunately many other people are awesome, and i have really enjoyed hanging out with other program members, particularly our other georgetown representatives, from the start. additionally, the two-day orientation provided a bit of an english-to-russian transition that i think helped with my psyche better than when i came in high school and was thrown in with my host family immediately. But appa...

Tuesday, February 24, 2009. Pictured here on the left is the front of Notre Dame and on the right is a portion of Saint-Chapelle. Both of these were incredible buildings and the inside of Notre Dame was enormous, it reminded me just a little bit of Saint Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. Thursday, February 19, 2009. Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Was Constantinople, now its Istanbul. We landed in Ataturk airport and hopped in a taxi to Sultanhamet, the downtown area where most of the sites are. So the first picture is clearly Maude and I in front of the blue mosque, the second is the inside of the mosque, and the thir is an example of the blue tile that is covereing the walls ...

Saturday, August 15, 2015. Here are some cool workouts I found on the net. Saturday, August 8, 2015. My freestyle time improved by 36%. Before I began USRPT training, my 100 freestyle was 3:20. Now, it is 204.98 since May. Cool. I am showing great progress and want to get down to national Master qualifying time by next year. All of this with fast tempo intervals, and no slow boring laps. If you want to swim fast.swim fast. A great view of the pool below. Monday, July 20, 2015. Labels: Bobby Hicks Pool.

What's good in the supermarket and other popular merchants. Sunday, December 4, 2011. Virgin Wines Winter Press Tasting 2011. I'm always curious about 'wine club' wines. Laithwaites. The wines themselves at this Virgin tasting are best described as 'safe'. They are definitely a step up from say, a Laithwaites. There seemed to be heavy emphasis on Spain, Australia, Sauvignon. Not a criticism - they just seem to be catering to popular taste and good value. Thanks to Louise for being such a gracious host.
