Norton and Company (2005). Author: E. M. Forster. Something interesting I'd like to point out is that E.M. Forster finished writing this book in 1914, the start of World War II. He resisted publication because of the views of same-sex marriage at the time. Maurice. And other books. If you've read A Separate Peace.

I read this book through and through. Before, I used to skim and read books quickly. But Eugenides writing is so rich and beautiful, I didn't want to miss a word. In fact, I had to place it down several times in a reading because the words were too rich for me. That's the kind of amazing Middlesex is. These were the profound words:.

Through the story of an ordinary man unwittingly drawn into a senseless murder on an Algerian beach, Camus explored what he termed "the nakedness of man faced with the absurd." Thinking About Loud!: March 2012
http://thinkingaboutloud.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 7 March 2012. Thoughts: Major Pettigrew's Last Stand. First I was reluctant to read a book about a 68 year old, widowed and retired Major in a sleepy village but the book offers life lessons which are never too late to be learned. The social predjudice Mrs. Ali has to face or the meaninglessness of decorum just to name a few. And of course it is never too late to learn, that it is never too late. I'd say it is a perfectly English read, but what do I know? Labels: my book reviews. Books i done ...

http://thinkingaboutloud.blogspot.com/2013/02/thoughts-history-of-love-by-nicole.html
Sunday, 10 February 2013. Thoughts: The History of Love by Nicole Krauss. This was my second attempt of reading something by Krauss and like it. Zvi Litvinoff is an author and his best known piece of work is The History of Love. But he has a secret too. I wonder if everybody was clueless like me about the book until near the end. Labels: my book reviews. Aww I le...
