The Learning Corner: Whitewater Rafting
http://the-learning-corner.blogspot.com/2011/07/whitewater-rafting.html
What a cool analogy! Even though I have never been an instructor or been whitewater rafting, somehow I can understand the comparison of white water rafting to teaching. There is no predictability in white water rafting or teaching. You never know what is around the corner or what problems you might run in to on your journey. For example, what would happen if I lost my ore? Uh oh…now that’s a dilemma! I have no way of steering, should I just abandon ship or try and work it out? I've been with my honey for...

The facts are that people learn in different ways and have a preferred style of learning. I had to think about this for a minute. I've be...

Assignment 1.1 - Tough Decision! Step 1: Define the decision clearly. My husband and I have been talking a lot lately about wanting a life free from yard work, pool maintenance and the constant repairs that our house currently requires. In the next few months, we’ll be making the decision on whether or not to sell our house to live a more carefree lifestyle. Step 2: Consider all the possible choices. Sell our current home and rent/buy a condo. Rent out our current home and rent/buy a condo. Having neighb...
