Experiencing life on the other side of the globe. Tuesday, August 31, 2010. I don't want my blog to be mega-long posts all the time, so hopefully I'll be consist (yeah, right) and do small updates every now and again. Saturday, August 28, 2010. Cast your Bread Upon the Waters. The impact I have on Rwanda and it has on me are two very important events this year. I cannot say if. Impact on Rwanda is able to be quantified, but I can definitely relay how Rwanda impacts me. I have found that time and silence ...

Notes from Abroad: Random Facts
http://wesbuchman.blogspot.com/2010/12/random-facts.html
Experiencing life on the other side of the globe. Thursday, December 16, 2010. So I started wondering how far I traveled to make my dentistry career a reality. Although I have gone many more miles emotionally and spiritually, I figured the round trip from Rwanda to schools and home would be pretty significant. According to my calculations. All of the traveling there and back totaled 19,730 miles. That is like traveling from New York to LA 8 times! My feet touched 3 continents and 7 states!

Experiencing life on the other side of the globe. Tuesday, March 15, 2011. It was funny to see their reactions to the process. Some a bit nervous, some absolutely loving the feeling of fresh teeth. After the brushing lesson we moved inside and had a Q&A session. In no way am I trying to make fun of the group, but their questions were hilarious in their candor yet shocking in their lack of knowledge. Some questions were:. 8220;If I run out of toothpaste, can I use soap? We should have check-ups completed ...

You can click on one of the pictures to the left and look at all those if you like. Then he proceeds to hold my hand and walk me back to the van like a 6 year old. It was hilarious! All that for just a story.

Experiencing life on the other side of the globe. Friday, March 11, 2011. Still Summer in Rwanda. The weather here is still great. It hasn’t rained in awhile so it has been very hot the past few days. I have been getting constant updates from friends and family back Stateside about the crazy weather! Although I am itching to hit the ski slopes because of all the snow, I think I’ll enjoy my 80˚ and sunny weather every day for the next few months! According to your great compassion. I have grown up in the ...

Notes from Abroad: Over a Month...
http://wesbuchman.blogspot.com/2011/03/over-month.html
Experiencing life on the other side of the globe. Thursday, March 3, 2011. I sincerely apologize. I actually have about 3 blog posts lined up to put in but am missing a couple pieces to complete them. So, in the interest of putting something of substance, here are two quotes I find interesting. I do not agree with all of Brennan Manning's words, but these were good. Because God has signaled the movement and offered it his presence and his promise.". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Notes from Abroad: October 2010
http://wesbuchman.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Experiencing life on the other side of the globe. Sunday, October 24, 2010. Plane food really isn't all that bad, either. I enjoyed the chicken in rice while flying over Africa. The cucumber salad was subpar, though. Then the cheese canoli or whatever it was, wasn't bad when leaving Brussels. The ham sandwich wasn't bad toward the end of that flight either. Customs takes a lloooong time as well. Mainly just the lines you have to wait in. None of the actual processes took that much time. Hours" he says...
