ABOUT OUR ALASKA TRIP. We left Tallahassee, Florida on 5/10/2002 for the adventure of a lifetime. We traveled west to San Diego, then up the Pacific Coast Highway. We crossed into Canada and took the Alcan Highway to Alaska. On our return trip, we took a slightly different route, bypassed part of the Alcan Highway and took the Cassier instead. We came across Canada and crossed the border into the US in North Dakota. From there we headed East to Illinois and Ohio, then down to Atlanta, then to Tallahassee.

Monday, April 8, 2013. My all time favorite cookie is shortbread. I also really like sugar cookies. At odds with these two favorite cookies is the fact that I like moist cake-like cookies. So, I have attempted to capture the essence of the shortbread cookie in a softer form. In my quest for cake-like I actually achieved a little bit of chewiness that I really like with this cookie.
