Thursday, February 26, 2009. In a past post I mentioned my Yashica Electro 35. Rangefinder camera, which, by the way, I picked up on eBay for twenty-five bucks. What's a rangefinder camera? Well, for some technogeeks, a rangefinder camera is an old fashioned paperweight. These cameras represent technology that is at least 50 years old. Criminey, they use- dare I say it- FILM! Monday, September 8, 2008. Here's how evenings go at our house:. I get home around 4:30 or so. Katie, the lab, is waiting at the door as I enter with an "Oh, it's you" look on her face. She immediately wants to go outside to pee. She then sleeps for two hours on the top step of the stairs leading to the basement. If I encounter her as I go up the steps, she's up in a flash and stands at the back door, wanting to go outside ("I just let you out! And squirt the living daylights out of her with the hose.

He has autism, which isn't all that unusual at the school where I teach students with severe disabilities. Yes, he has autism, but he has something else. Most days he talks and talks and talks, and none of it really makes any sense. His sentences are usually grammatically correct, but . . . wow! It's not up there if you can't get it down. There's no graveyards here.
