Toning Up Before 3

Monday, November 14, 2011. I completed my 5th 5k on Sunday! This was my 4th Komen Race for the Cure. I ran the race in 30 minutes and 22 seconds. I'm proud of that since I only had 2 months to prepare and didn't really train outside.just on the treadmill mostly. There were a lot of hills too! But I only walked less than a minute after one hill to catch my breath and ran the rest of it! I know I can do it. I just have to stay focused! Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Still On My Way! Tuesday, June 8, 2010. My Wonderful Prize.not. So after months of waiting and then finally learning I had won my division of the local gym challenge, I received my prize today. Needless to say if you read the title, it was very dissappointing to me. Not that I thought I was going to get something absolutely wonderful, but was thinking maybe a free massage, pedicure, or something like that. But, no! Soall that work and nothing in it for me! If not.I'll be sulking for a day or two. Friday, June 4, 2010.

Sunday, February 28, 2010. I didn't work out today for the first time since I began this! Wow, that is a long stretch of working out. Hope it didn't set me back too much with the yummy burgers and wine I had last night and then the good breakfast food I had at the Cracker Barrel for lunch today. We'll see, but I'm definitely getting back on track tomorrow! Saturday, February 27, 2010. She's Going the Distance. I ran 8 miles this morning! But down half a pound this morning too! Nothing more to report today.

Friday, September 23, 2011. The scale only showed 1 pound down this week which stinks! I know I should be happy it was down, but I just wish I could lose at least 2 a week! This is so slow! I was happy later though when I went to the gym and was able to run 3 miles straight on the treadmill without stopping to walk and I still wasn't out of breath at the end.just melting with sweat. But that made me feel great! That means I'm getting in better shape and building my endurance! Thursday, September 22, 2011.

Wednesday, March 31, 2010. 5 days to go. I'm making it and staying on track. I ran 2.1 miles on the treadmill this morning, then did 10 minutes on the stairmaster before Body Pump class. Then I took my son with me to Quiznos for lunch and had some soup and a small sandwich.only 320 calories altogether. Yum! We had to eat out to make it back to my daughter's Easter party at school.no time to get back home and eat. It was a tasty break from my canned soup. Monday is getting closer and closer! 6 days to go.

Monday, August 27, 2012. My oldest baby girl left me today.well, she left me for 8 hours. Our first child has gone off to Kindergarten! Lillian has been jumping around about this day since the beginning of the year and I don't mean the school year. She has been ready since January and she was still in preschool. She has asked and asked when she would be going to the "big school.". Just not in Lillian's class. :(. Where are all my friends? So later I added an "r" in the pictures with the paint program!

Jamie made them for me and brought them the weekend of Marjorie's party, but since then, I was updating the blog from that weekend and kept forgetting to take a picture of them to share. Thursday, August 9, 2012. Then yesterday I remembered Memorial Park and how it had quite a bit of shade, so we headed there. They looked all around for tadpoles and fish and waded through from rock to rock. I think Andrew would have stayed there all day! But that part was in the sun of course and poor Marjorie was getting red in the face from the heat, so I made them come back to the other side and the playground after about 20 minutes or so. It was fun getting out and doing something different though!
