http://www.geekslove.it/2014/10/useful-commands-when-parsing-html-from.html
Technology, the love of our lives. Friday, 10 October 2014. Useful commands when parsing HTML from the command line. These are commands I'm using all the time when working with HTML files from the command line:. Tags with actual carriage returns:. Sed 's [bB][rR] * n g'. Note this command works with. Capitalised and small letter tags e.g.:. Tags with additional parameters (which is nonsense), e.g.:. Tags with spaces and a closing slash, e.g.:. Sed 's g'. Remove heading space at the begining of each line.

Martin Melchior's homepage: Use the TP-Link TL-WR703N to send Arduino sensor data
http://www.martinmelchior.be/2013/07/use-tp-link-tl-wr703n-to-send-arduino.html
Thursday, 11 July 2013. Use the TP-Link TL-WR703N to send Arduino sensor data. Most solutions to send data through Wifi with your Arduino include an Ethernet shield. Another alternative I like a lot uses the PCB of a TP-Link router as a shield bridging Ethernet to Wifi. With OpenWRT installed on it), you have a serial port console logged in as root. All you have to do, is hook it up to your arduino's serial port. There are however a couple of things you need to be careful about. First things first, befor...

Friday, 18 April 2014. Building a Wooden Ghettoblaster: preparing the audio and electrical hardware (part 3). Almost finished, the speakers still. This post is the continuation of my two previous posts ( building the front face. And I will go through the preparation and wiring of all the electrical and audio equipment in this project. Note: there will be another post in the near future about finishing a couple of details (like painting the speakers in faux-rust). Bridging the burned trace. The Crunch amp...

http://www.martinmelchior.be/2015/02/bose-qc15-make-adaptator-from-damaged.html
Thursday, 19 February 2015. Bose QC15 make an adaptator from a damaged cable and use standard 3.5mm cables. The connector can be easily opened. By sliding a thin blade on the side. Once open, you can see a small PCB on which the switch and male connector is attached:. Slide the PCB out of the casing. Be careful not to lose the plastic cap on the switch ;-). Use a multimeter to figure which wire should be corrected to which pin of your 3.5mm socket. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The IMAX B6AC Clone ...

Martin Melchior's homepage: Conversion of an old Sigma lens to work with newer Canon bodies
http://www.martinmelchior.be/2013/04/conversion-of-old-sigma-lens-to-work.html
Friday, 5 April 2013. Conversion of an old Sigma lens to work with newer Canon bodies. The aim of this how-to/tutorial is to enable anyone with basic soldering skills to adapt old Sigma lenses to work with new (digital) Canon bodies. Jiri Otisk has made a better version of this conversion chip and can be found here. I strongly recommend you use his version as it is much better designed and less buggy than the original one form the germand forum described in this article. A soldering iron (not too powerfu...

Saturday, 8 March 2014. Building a Wooden Ghettoblaster: the front face (part 1). I have some car audio equipment lying around and always wanted to build something retro (from my youth), beautiful, functional and fun. This is the first part of an ongoing project. I don't know where this boombox/ghettoblaster idea came from but I had some spare wood and time. Front onf the future wooden ghettoblaster. Double checked all dimensions with the car speakers to make sure it would all fit. Building a Wooden Ghet...

Martin Melchior's homepage: Make your Raspberry pi b more power efficient with a cheap dc step down
http://www.martinmelchior.be/2014/10/make-your-raspberry-pi-b-more-power.html
Wednesday, 22 October 2014. Make your Raspberry pi b more power efficient with a cheap dc step down. Modified RasPi B with a buck converter. The raspberry pi b (the original one, not the b ) uses a linear regulator to bring the 5V down to 3.3V. That's a lot of waste: 33% of the power consumed by the pi is dissipated as heat here! Instead of building a dc step down myself or buying one from a recognised electronics dealer, I chose to buy a cheap one from eBay. Input voltage: 4.75V-23V. I then decided not ...

http://www.martinmelchior.be/2015/03/building-bk-monolith-clone-500w-rms.html
Sunday, 22 March 2015. Building a BK Monolith clone, a 500w RMS subwoofer. Have a wonderful reputation:. BK is the OEM manufacturer for REL subwoofers. Attractively priced ; you are buying them directly from the OEM and they make virtually no marketing (except the word of mouth on the Internet). I love building wooden objects (such as my wooden ghettoblaster. And would never have had the chance (not to say budget) to build such a well engineered subwoofer if it wasn't for this project ;-). Before permane...

http://www.martinmelchior.be/2015/01/repair-burned-tweeters-on-b-db602-s3.html
Sunday, 4 January 2015. Repair burnt tweeters on B&W DM602 S3 speakers. The second hand market is filled with great audio gear. For example, last week I bought a high end Yamaha amplifier (DSP-A1, 5x 115W RMS) for only 18€ on eBay and just had to clean the volume potentiometer (I used this technique. This is a very common issue which occurs on B&W DM600 S3, DM601 S3, DM602 S3, DM602.5 S3, DM603 S3, DM604 S3 (as they all use the same tweeters and probably many others using the same technology) when pu...

Here are some news of my wooden Ghettoblaster project. In case you missed it, you can find here. The first steps. I used marquetry techniques to give this ghettoblaster a retro look. I did not want to build yet another box with an amp and speakers (where would be the fun in that? Here is an interesting source of information. Speakers are now ready to be.
