Misfit Mascot: "More, worse, forever"
http://misfitmascot.blogspot.com/2010/02/more-worse-forever.html
Thursday, February 25, 2010. More, worse, forever". After having watched Lawrence Lessig's speech (see below for link), I'm left feeling a bit on edge. Mr. Lessig speaks of the many issues and concerns that the internet has brought up on society. One of these he speaks about is the idea of "More, Worse, Forever." By this, he means that the internet allows us, as a society, to provide and source more information and data than ever before. A first blush, I'm happy with this thought. Thus, I'm left on edge&...

http://geoffmax.blogspot.com/2010/02/all-about-me.html
Saturday, February 20, 2010. I studied design as an undergrad, and now work for American University's Career Center. I've read numerous articles and blog posts on the topic of Your. Brand Yet none top the collection of spot-on advice in Tom Peters's 1997 Fast Company article, The Brand Called You. I wish I read this piece about 4 weeks ago. I've been struggling to relaunch a personal Web site, define what I do. And successfully brand myself. I soft launched geoffmax.com. Blog comments powered by Disqus.

Penny For Your Thoughts?: I Feel the Pressure
http://jodiannflynn.blogspot.com/2010/02/i-feel-pressure.html
Penny For Your Thoughts? Sunday, February 28, 2010. I Feel the Pressure. I must say that Lessig is an incredible speaker! I really liked how his slides were in sync with his speech. But, of course, the most important thing was his content. I liked the fact that he spoke highly of today's generation and their use of the internet and media. Who would have thought that this generation is better at disbelief and triangulation? I'm not too sure how I feel about this. But, what I need to do is to make sure...

bloecher: Big Brother is watching you...but who is watching big brother?
http://julie-bloecher.blogspot.com/2010/02/big-brother-is-watching-youbut-who-is.html
Blog for Social Networking, Social Media, and Web 2.0 class. Sunday, February 14, 2010. Big Brother is watching you.but who is watching big brother? I have always had mixed feelings about sharing information about me- whether it's personal details on a product registration survey, home phone number (it's unlisted, so that rarely happens), or my position. I guess I was just not sure (other than looking up a restaurant when I'm out and about) that I could see a measurable benefit. Too much of a good thing ...

GeoffMax: A Phone Who Has Everything

Friday, February 12, 2010. A Phone Who Has Everything. Is a brilliant illustrator whose poignant Techno Tuesday is a welcome critique and day. Of course, if using your phone to chronicle your every move isn't quite your pace, the only logical alternative is to write a novel. In fact, I think it's time for a break out American mobile novelist. Writes (though likely not on his cell phone) an overview of this Japanese phenomenon. And be sure to avoid the mobile novel-writing pitfalls that ReadWriteWeb.

Misfit Mascot: Firefox to the Nth power
http://misfitmascot.blogspot.com/2010/01/firefox-to-nth-power.html
Sunday, January 24, 2010. Firefox to the Nth power. Crowdsourcing, the use of an open-call by a company to many individuals, has exploded in recent years. As with many other breakthroughs of late, this can also chalk its existence up to The Internet (yes, capital letters). Having now learned what crowdsourcing is and how incredible its potential can be, Mr. Dan Woods' article flipped me on my head. His article,. The Myth of Crowdsourcing. So there's no crowd at all? Never (not counting the one time for e...

Penny For Your Thoughts?: Ugly Reality
http://jodiannflynn.blogspot.com/2010/02/ugly-reality.html
Penny For Your Thoughts? Saturday, February 27, 2010. I got a head start before most of you guys. I got a chance to experience Second Life. This concept of a virtual world really intrigued me. It was fun to choose a pseudo name, cools clothes, fly and to visit different worlds. But for me, that gets old after a while. That’s the major thing – a way of escape. They are faced with the same reality. Their reality didn’t change or get any better. This blog inspired by:. February 27, 2010 at 11:50 PM. I think...
