The Life and Times of a Transplanted Triathlete

The Life and Times of a Transplanted Triathlete. Monday, July 6, 2015. Back in the Saddle. I could be Michael's Sherpa, do smaller distance races, join a dance class, do weights. A couple of weeks ago, I was cleared to ...

The Life and Times of a Transplanted Triathlete: One Step at a Time

http://www.transplantedtriathlete.blogspot.com/2014/08/one-step-at-time.html

The Life and Times of a Transplanted Triathlete. Wednesday, August 6, 2014. One Step at a Time. I was reminded, and not very gently, that it had been some time since I've written. Time sometimes gets away from you, and you get so focused on what's going on in front of you, you forget. So, sorry! Keep putting one foot in front of the other (correctly placed of course) and you'll get where you need to be! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). One Step at a Time. View my complete profile.

The Life and Times of a Transplanted Triathlete: Let's Build a Snowman

http://www.transplantedtriathlete.blogspot.com/2015/01/lets-build-snowman.html

The Life and Times of a Transplanted Triathlete. Friday, January 9, 2015. Let's Build a Snowman. 2014 is done, and what a crazy year that was! Looking back, the year was a roller coaster of highs and lows, but in the end.what a ride! I never did do a Florida race report, so here it is - it was COLD and WINDY! The day before the race, I did a practice open water swim. Oh my gosh! Sure enough, the next day brought back the sunshine and the warmth. Michael and I walked the beach and I was stunned how di...

The Life and Times of a Transplanted Triathlete: February 2014

http://www.transplantedtriathlete.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html

The Life and Times of a Transplanted Triathlete. Tuesday, February 11, 2014. Get Up and Train! Not ready yet for the half marathon, I was cleared to do the relay, and I was lucky enough to find a partner in Rebecca Cruz. We had similar paces, so neither of us would feel like we had held the other back. Plus, both of us were coming off injury, so that made it all the sweeter. I have never been so scatterbrained before a race! After a brief flurry of activity looking for my race belt, I was finally ready.

Transplanted to Tennessee

Saturday, August 8, 2015. Leaving Alaska Summer 2015. It hardly seems possible that it is time to leave Alaska. We got some time off Saturday before the last teams came in. We drove out to Victory Bible Camp to look around. Anne knew a couple that worked at Victory several years ago. It is a beautiful setting. We are standing on the deck at the lodge. This is Victory Peak. We packed a lunch that day, so we sat beside the lake and ate it. It was so peaceful! Miriam, Jay (our director), Dana. Elizabeth lea...
