Climbing in Railay Beach | The Next Adventure... One Day At A Time.
https://travelingdaybyday.wordpress.com/2012/10/20/climbing-in-railay-beach
The Next Adventure… One Day At A Time. Climbing in Railay Beach. Posted by Kate Dodt. Asymp; 1 Comment. I am totally energized after spending a half day rock climbing in Railay with Tami. The scenery is spectacular here, like nowhere else I will ever climb again. The limestone walls just loom overhead emerging straight out of the clear blue water. Tami and I are both pretty novice climbers but we had such a blast! Larr; Previous post. Next post →. Thought on “Climbing in Railay Beach”. You are commenting...

The Next Adventure… One Day At A Time. Doing the Snow Dance! Posted by Kate Dodt. Asymp; Leave a comment. I will say… I’m still doing the snow dance every night! And slowly but surely we are getting more of that precious powder. Just in time too – My fabulous friends, Adam and Emily Lowell, arrive TODAY for a ski trip! I can’t wait to give them a big squeeze and take some turns with them in the SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE (hopefully I can keep up with Adam on the slopes! This slideshow requires JavaScript. Three...

The Next Adventure… One Day At A Time. Taking Some Turns in the Southern Hemisphere. Posted by Kate Dodt. Asymp; 1 Comment. Last week I finally ventured up the hill for my first official New Zealand ski day. It was fabulous. You know the feeling… giddiness as you drive into the parking lot, a cringe as you step into stiff ski boots, pure excitement as you line up at the lift, and a little bit of nervousness as you think about making those first couple of turns. It never gets old. Happy 4th of July! I am ...

The Next Adventure… One Day At A Time. A seat with a view. Posted by Kate Dodt. Asymp; 9 Comments. Ben has his very own place in Wanaka. A piece of real estate with his name on it. I’m so excited. A couple of months ago, I inquired with the local Lakes Council about donating a memorial bench in his name. The kindness they have bestowed on me and the efficiency of the whole process has been incredible… the bench is PERFECT. Great company and fantastic views – it was so fun. Larr; Previous post. Where all of me is held | Trusting the Wind
https://trustingthewind.org/2016/07/27/where-all-of-me-is-held
Will you trust the Wind? Good night sweet friends →. Where all of me is held. I spent 8 years praying for my daughter. Eight. That is a lot of years. That’s almost 3000 days of prayers for one thing…for her. And miscarried, and then had to miscarry again. Months before my mom was diagnosed with terminal cancer and my marriage was not in a bright spot. I was sad and tired and angry and like a little child I turned to God and said, no I’m sorry, I yelled, “YOU SAID YOU WOULD GIVE ME A DAUGHTER! I entered i...
The Reality of Motherhood | Trusting the Wind

Will you trust the Wind? The Reality of Marriage. The Reality of Motherhood. A quick note: This is MY reality, and I would never guess, speculate or consider myself able to speak for what all mother’s experience. It is Sunday night, well really Monday morning, 1am and I am up. I am awake for two reasons, one; I am pregnant and pee every 4 seconds, and two; I have caught the same or similar virus that my 17 month old daughter has and I can no longer breathe out of my nose making it impossible to sleep.
Labor and Delivery…Life and Death | Trusting the Wind
https://trustingthewind.org/2016/03/08/labor-and-delivery-life-and-death
Will you trust the Wind? Some rooms are full and some are empty →. Labor and Delivery…Life and Death. I have died many times so far in my life. I die to myself everyday. I dig up my old dead self and try to make it presentable, but no matter how you dress it up, it, me, my old self is dead. Dying is a part of living. I labored for a week before I walked into the hospital. My labor was violent prayer, then it was weeping and yelling and crying out. My labor was asking you to labor with me! And so did you.

Will you trust the Wind? Labor and Delivery…Life and Death. Weight lifting →. Some rooms are full and some are empty. The adrenaline of battle is receding from my muscles. The glory and might of my war cry for the deliverance of Birdie’s life and my own deaths has simmered to a soft whimper. My once bright light feels like a dim flickering flame. But I have evolved, I have learned and I have matured. I have been transformed from glory to glory and will continue still. So here it is…. I am so sad. One bab...

Monday, August 30, 2010. Grandpa decided to give all the kids rides on the golf cart. It was like 9am and already heading towards 100 degrees. It was hot, but we sure had a lot of fun! Korbyn, Braden, Jordan and Grandpa. Malachi, Melody, Asa and Grandpa. Girls activity. We did facials and pedicures. It was just fun to have all of us together. As you can see there was a lot of silliness and a lot of laughter. Elena, Melody, and Cari. Brooke, Elena, and Melody. Jordan, Braden, Alex and Ariella. Jordan and ...
The Perry-Medics: Snapshot of the summer
http://jakecamiperry.blogspot.com/2010/07/snapshot-of-summer.html
Sunday, July 25, 2010. Snapshot of the summer. I know I'm MIA recently in the blogging world. We have been enjoying our summer! I can't say we've done much, but it has been great sleeping in, going to the park, swim lessons, etc. I was able to spend a few weeks studying for the CPN (Certified Pediatric Nurse) Exam. I took it about a week ago and PASSED! I am so excited. That means a raise at work and a few extra initials behind my name. Here are a few of my fav' pictures from this summer so far:. Who I l...

Just another WordPress.com site. Hoi An →. Hanoi and Halong Bay. March 9, 2013. Sorry, it was just too easy. We’ve been wading through the streets of zooming motorcycles that dodge around you as long as you keep walking at a steady pace in one direction. You can’t not pay attention for one second walking around this city… it is crazy and full of life! The next day was much warmer so we sat on the rooftop of the boat as we sailed back towards the marina at Halong Bay. Walking up to the temple. The brave s...

Traveling Dave in The Americas
Traveling Dave in The Americas. Thursday, June 9, 2011. Dispatch Number 92 -Errant Thoughts: Peru. This Dispatch is a break from the Two Years summary and pauses from that series after Panama, Dispatch Number 90. It will restart shortly with Colombia. In the meantime, here are some shorter pieces. The pedestrian has no rights in Latin America. Crossing streets safely involves running. Later, I had selfish visions of getting crashed-out on some road desperately needing an ambulance, when none would come.
