Every year we think will be the year we relax and stay at home and garden but every summer we end up packing with fun adventures. This year has been no exception. With the foot of new snow this week, we were able to get out for a Saturday morning ski before loading up the car for a drive to Decorah for some wine-tasting, relaxation and I managed a bike ride on Sunday along the Upper Iowa River. Sunday, January 29, 2006. How dare Gish and I draw people into our blog and then abandon you for weeks without a word. Well, I can't say we've been traveling or too busy. But our minds have been occupied since New Year's weekend. That's when we hatched the idea to sell all we have, quit our jobs and move to Iowa to open a coffeehouse.
