Travels with Em

Travel inspiration blog with families in mind. Wednesday, August 15, 2012. We rented a car from budget. I find the US rental car chains overseas have great rates. We paid 188 euros for about 9 days. Next stop was Lagos in the south of portugal. We were thrilled to leave the city and get out to the countryside. This was also the first homeaway style we had rented. We wanted to try renting a condo with a full kitchen for a week and it was so affordable! They even had the nerve to turn it off at night!

Travels with Em: Hadrian's wall

http://travelswithem.com/2012/08/hadrians-wall.html

Travel inspiration blog with families in mind. Wednesday, August 15, 2012. We spent the night at a beautiful B&B called chapelburn. The owner, Matt, was so welcoming and what a fantastic cook (he is a former chef). Below is a picture of the B&B and Matt's breskfast. The rooms are pristine and the beds are luxurious. Travel inspiration blog with families in mind. Wednesday, August 15, 2012. They even had the nerve to turn it off at night! For foreign travelers, wifi is everything! Another downside was the location. Wales is very hard to drive in and the roads leading to the cottage were barely the width of our car but were two way! We did visit some interesting places. Overall we spent a little too much time in wales, but it is one beautiful country! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Travels with Em: March 2012

http://travelswithem.com/2012_03_01_archive.html

Travel inspiration blog with families in mind. Friday, March 9, 2012. We spent 4 days in Madrid after Portugal. We stayed at the Westin Madrid. What a fabulous hotel with a superb location! You can walk everywhere! This really made up for the Lisbon hotel. The rooms are elegant, spacious and very clean. The bathroom was grand and had the signature heavenly shower than never fails to please. Highly recommended! Spain does have hands down best fresh squeezed OJ! Although it made for many unexpected stops ;).

Travels with Em: January 2012

http://travelswithem.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Travel inspiration blog with families in mind. Monday, January 16, 2012. Blue bird cafe - wakefield. Bluebird cafe in Wakefield RI is from the owners of the one in new Orleans. The menu has plenty of Louisiana specialities on it :). Breakfast is a little tricky for someone with a whey allergy but I found the heuvos and got the eggs poached to avoid butter on the eggs. The heuvos were wonderful! E enjoyed them a lot. I also ordered her a big fruit bowl that is loved. They have highchairs for kids :).

Travels With Edwina | The Trails and Tribulations of an Overpampered Bicycle

The Trails and Tribulations of an Overpampered Bicycle. September 19, 2016. Odd how same, yet different a year can be. Last time this year, the human and I were in the desert heading towards the Mississippi. This year, we found ourselves 2000 miles north, in the forest and mining areas of Minnesota, heading towards the Mississippi. For the last ride of the trip, the humans and I once again picked. Finally a Babe statue. Whaddaya think? Pretty impressive, eh? Relative.it is all relative. September 14, 2016.

Monday, April 2, 2012. Nagasaki-Door to the West. Monday, March 26, 2012. China- Firecracker or guided missile? Huge, new towers of steel and glass have been and are being constructed, but the spiritual center still remains the Forbidden City, the palace completed in the early 15th century and the golden globe-topped Temple of Heaven. Travels with Eli

Sunday, January 10, 2010. Baby, it's cold outside! Last Sunday, Eli visited the Kensico Dam in Valhalla. It was so cold that he didn't even get out of the car.just admired the Dam from a distance. Any ideas of where we should take Eli would be greatly appreciated! Eli, outside of Camp Smith (near the Bear Mountain Bridge), in front of a tank named the Countess Lucille. He was very impressed! A blurry, but cool (no pun intended) picture of Eli at sunset, along the Hudson River. Friday, January 1, 2010.

Travels With Eric

From a change of career to following my passions, it's just an account of where I'm going, who I'm meeting, and the things I'm getting to do. Sunday, June 14, 2015. 7 Years Since It Began. Yesterday couldn't have been a better day to mark 7 years. So I should explain that, I've finally "settled down" a bit and signed an actual lease here in beautiful Bend instead of living life on the road so much. Over the previous 7 years, I'm guessing that I averaged 200 different. How did I choose Bend? Yes, it's me&...

WISEACRE

Friday, September 3, 2010. Living alone in a travel trailer, unemployed, going through a divorce and pushing my fortieth birthday, I figured it didn't get much better than this. There is, after all, some security at the bottom. What else could happen? Then my hair started falling out. So I did the usual stuff: started working out, learned to cook an omelette, made some new friends, hung out at the beach, worked on my tan, put a lot of miles on the bike. Then I saw the ad:. TRUST YOUR EYES TO DR. FOGG!
