Date: Fri, 7 Jan 2011 22:14:15 0000. From: XXXX@hotmail.co.uk. Thanks for that, is it okay being pregnant again? I remember Sarah saying that the first time was a wonder of the world but the second one she was just a bit fed up with it by the third trimester. Date: Fri, 7 Jan 2011 22:25:07 0000. Ask a stupid question [The Garden Café, St. Ann’s Well Gardens, Hove]. 62 Yes, we have no snow [Chorlton]. 61 Never judge a book by its cover [Gallery Oldham]. 15 October, 2009 by travelswithmybaby. It just feels a bit like’. The end of the world? Right then, let’s go this way,’ says the woman confidently. I love this about us womenfolk: the in-built ability to wrap a complete lack of knowledge in the reassuring tones of mother-knows-best. Milo and...

https://travelswithmybaby.wordpress.com/2010/11/11/64-we-wont-go-back-an-open-letter-to-david-cameron

Travels with my baby. Have baby, will travel. Laquo; 62. Yes, we have no snow [Chorlton]. 63 We won’t go back. An open letter to David Cameron. 11 November, 2010 by travelswithmybaby. Yesterday saw the largest peaceful demonstration by British students in generations. Over 50,000 converged on London to protest at your government’s lack of support for higher education. Predictably, a minority caused violent damage and disorder. The problem is, Mr Cameron, that not everyone who goes to university will walk...

I haven’t the heart to tell her that the medical profession may see it differently. If she doesn’t get a wriggle on soon it’ll be the Oxytocin drip for her; a tidal wave of chemical hormones designed to dislodge her no matter how bloody-minded she feels like being. Blood sugar reaching perilous lows, we head to a cha...

HALE AND HEARTY: Luck Lust Liquor & Burn

http://hale-and-hearty.blogspot.com/2013/02/luck-lust-liquor-burn.html

FOOD AND THINK FROM THE HOUSE OF THE RISING BUN. Sunday, February 03, 2013. Luck Lust Liquor and Burn. Sticky pork buns - excellent pic, no? Frank loves liquor, so when fashionable cocktail establishment Socio Rehab reopened as Luck Lust Liquor and Burn last week, he insisted on conducting a lunchy fly-past. It's a dirty food job from the people behind Almost Famous. With overtones of the Food Network's evening programming. Anything Guy Fieri. We got pretty much what we expected at Liquor and Burn; dirty...

http://hale-and-hearty.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html

FOOD AND THINK FROM THE HOUSE OF THE RISING BUN. Thursday, January 27, 2011. Cicchetti: small but acceptably formed. Since Frank's arrival I have come to understand the wonders of small things. This bodes well for Cicchetti, which is not small, but serves little dishes. Outpourings of wonder have accompanied a rash of recent openings. Mainly in London, but also, briefly by the looks of it, in Plymouth. It's packed, pretty much all the time. The deep-fried squid could have been crisper and the slow-cooked...

What with Mary-Ellen McTague. Doing big swears (I'm guessing - she's got previous) on Great British Menu. Starting straight afterwards, there's enough North West food action on BBC2 tonight to butter all the parsnips in town. The twin tales of the openings of Simon Rogan at The French. And Aiden Byrne's Manchester House. Gymkhana,...

Someone has switched my city-dwelling, critical-thinking life with that of a home-town-bound mummy. Manc in France: Endings and Beginnings

From Manchester to France. Just for a year. Me, him and Cleo the cat. Not looking for an old barn to do up. Nor a second home, couldn't afford it, and anyway, one house is bloody hard work to maintain, so why have two? The pound has crashed and our income with it. It's beautiful. It's quiet. I know absolutely no-one. I love it. But what am I here for exactly? And am I going back? Good questions. Anybody round here know the answer? Sunday, 13 September 2009. Travels with my blog. Berlin is too big for me. After having lived in a big capital almost all my life, I have acquired a taste for smaller places. Thus I would not choose to live in Berlin, although I find it is a very interesting city. It has a lot of museums, which is important for me, and a lot of green parks and open spaces, which is important for everybody, I think. There is water all around and this is very pleasant, of course. Caputh not Kaputt, Lehnin not Lenin. Eisleben is the city where Luther...

Travels with my camera in Oz | Photos and words from a roving retiree

Travels with my camera in Oz. Photos and words from a roving retiree. December 11, 2016. St Mary’s church. Dog Rocks is a famous hill for photographers with a much photographed tree and I took full advantage. We were also within walking distance of Buckley Falls and had a couple of walks down to the river where there are many walking tracks. Every time we go to the falls we see the herons patiently fishing. Sea pouring off the ledge. Wombeyan Caves and Bungonia. November 17, 2016. Rocks from the quarry.
