Practicing Classy: August 2010
http://practicingclassy.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 5, 2010. Stop, Kelly, Stop! Well friends, there is no need to fear. It is highly unlikely that this will ever turn into a running blog (or a blog in general, for that matter). Over seven weeks into my "training" and I'm actually behind where I started. This will not be me any time soon. source. I did my morning run, got ready and went to work. The day was going along nicely until someone stuck a knife in my head. MIGRAINE! Apparently this is called an exertion headache. What it means...

Life Strides: Desert Classic 1/2 Marathon report
http://lifestrides.blogspot.com/2011/02/desert-classic-12-marathon-report.html
Saturday, February 19, 2011. Desert Classic 1/2 Marathon report. Although almost nothing about this race went as planned, I still had an awesome time. This was supposed to be goal race. I started planning for this marathon last summer. I had just trained for a half marathon, was planning to run the Grand Canyon Marathon. And shoot for a big marathon PR at the Desert Classic. Didn't quite work out, but that's alright. Thats what happens when you have a PR that is so fast its hard to catch! Her Name Is Rio.

Wednesday, August 4, 2010. Race reports - May to July 2010. I've been meaning to post some race reports for a long time now, and in fear of them never getting done, I am just going to post what I wrote in my training log. Maybe I'll add a few extra details. Here they are in chronological order. Martin Charities 5k - Glendale, AZ - May 22. Man, there were so many turns in this race, it was unbelievable! Arizona Road Racers Summer Series 5k #1 - Phoenix, AZ - May 29. I want him to beat me! So, there you ha...

http://lifestrides.blogspot.com/2010/03/ragnar-relay-race-report-part-1.html
Tuesday, March 9, 2010. Ragnar Relay race report, part 1. It's not too late for a race report is it? It's only been a week and a half! I think it's taken me this long to catch up on the sleep I missed out on during the race. After handing off the baton/snap bracelet, I stretched a little, and we hurried to cheer on out next runner. Click here for Part 2. That mustve been an incredible experience. You certainly look happy to be running in that pic! March 11, 2010 at 10:13 AM. Freedom Run 5k ( 4mi) - 23:39.

Life Strides: March 2011
http://lifestrides.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 19, 2011. We're for Water 4 mile race report. First PR in years! This was only my second time running this distance, but a PR is still a PR. I really wasn't expecting much today because I haven't really been training for the last month and a half, and I had been nursing some mild injuries this week. I mainly just wanted to see where I am at now that I'll be starting to train for another half marathon. Official time - 24:54. Overall place - 2nd. Age group place - 1st. Age group award - Med...

Life Strides: New Year's Day 5k race report
http://lifestrides.blogspot.com/2011/01/new-years-day-5k-race-report.html
Friday, January 7, 2011. New Year's Day 5k race report. I had been telling myself the whole week before this race that I was going to PR. It's been 5 and half years since my last 5k PR, and I want a new one! And this would be a good race to do it with it's flat course that I have done the previous 2 years. It was going to happen. When I finished, I knew the course was long because of the change of the finish line and the turn-around. I finished with a time of 19:02, good for 5th place overall, and 1s...

Life Strides: Thanksgiving Day Run race report
http://lifestrides.blogspot.com/2010/11/thanksgiving-day-run-race-report.html
Monday, November 29, 2010. Thanksgiving Day Run race report. We got to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with our family in Utah, and BRRR was it cold. A big winter storm blew through. It didn't leave much snow, but it left the coldest temperatures I've ever experienced. We had a great trip, but I am glad to be home and out of the cold and snow (which we hit on the way home)! I met up with my speedy brother-in-law in the 10 degree (or less) weather for the International Thanksgiving Day run. Has not only al...
