True Blue Canadian

Wednesday, August 12, 2015. My little super heroes have options. Patric's is a bit shorter because that's how much of the light green fabric I had. At least Luc and Patric can tell which cape is their's. If they prefer lightening bolts and brighter colours, all they have to do is flip it over. The neck area has hook and loop (Velcro) tape and I topstitched the edges for a nice finish. The bottom hem is left open. The pattern if you want to make your little person a cape. True Blue Canadian: July 2014

http://truebluecanadian.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html

Tuesday, July 29, 2014. Picky, picky, picky. I think I have tried these bamboo ones but they are not as smooth as aluminum. When I was in BC last year, my daughter, grandsons and I stopped in at a local Legion that has a permanent rummage sale in the basement. Loads of great stuff for pennies - almost. I wonder if they have double pointed needles there now? Sunday, July 27, 2014. I put the light on to show you the quilting. Seriously, what was I thinking? And here he is with his older brother Mark and li...

True Blue Canadian: June 2015

http://truebluecanadian.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html

Monday, June 29, 2015. I made a few more baby things 'cause Maili wanted more burp cloths and more flannel blankets. The zig zag flannel blanket is soooo soft. Proof that what I make gets used. Other than his hat and sleeper, I made the rainbow blanket, the flannel blanket he's on, there is a burp cloth on the left and his soother strap is across his body. Here's the little sweatshirt I made him too - still a tad too big. Monday, June 22, 2015. The Minis and More is hosted by Sherry from A Quilting Life.

True Blue Canadian: January 2015

http://truebluecanadian.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Finally finished and saying goodbye. It was almost at the last minute that I put the final stitches in and sewed up the sweater for little Patric. He didn't want to put it on but once it was on, he didn't mind it. I'm glad it fit and that the neck was big enough. Great pattern and I would do it again. Amazing what little boys will get into. I'm glad that he was supervised. At least he had fun and we all had a laugh. He even had fun in the laundry basket. Bye, bye Patric.

True Blue Canadian: What I've been up to

http://truebluecanadian.blogspot.com/2015/08/what-ive-been-up-to.html

Thursday, August 6, 2015. What I've been up to. This is the completed first scene. There is wisteria, daffodils, foxglove, long stemmed roses and irises. This is the beginning of the second scene. The first flower in this part of the course is the climbing rose. And this is what I will be working on shortly. A little man sewing but first I have to make a couple of super-hero capes for two little boys. I have so much poly-cotton fabric so it will be nice to use some of it up. August 6, 2015 at 4:36 PM.

York Heritage Quilters Guild Blog. Here is a sampling of my quilts. This is a bright version of Kaffe Fassett's nine-patch quilt. One of many one-block wonders I've made (thanks, Maxine Rosenthal - C&T Publishing). My first quilt. iInitially planned as a queen-sized quilt, downsized to a lap quilt when I realized how many more blocks I needed. This quilt reminds me of a winter's day- soft light and snowflakes. Inspired by late spring walk, and an experiment with one colour quilts. Hi Valerie –. You are c...
