Hip-hop anonymous - a PAO journal. For anyone considering or recovering from periacetabular osteotomy surgery due to hip dysplasia. Monday, April 23, 2012. 4 years post-op LPAO. It's been four years since my left hip surgery, the day-long event that became a years-long cornucopia for which I am eternally thankful. My thanks does not wane, even though the periods of pain-free living have started to. Despite the new aches and pains, I wouldn't change a thing. I am grateful for the freedom of mind and b...

Hip-hop anonymous - a PAO journal. For anyone considering or recovering from periacetabular osteotomy surgery due to hip dysplasia. Monday, May 12, 2008. My most useful tool. I will be bringing this to the hospital, as well. Get one here: AllegroMedical.com. Hand sanitizer and moist wipes. Getting up to the sink was a huge chore, if not impossible at times. These were especially important in the hospital. Small pillow for car trips. Get this one here: Potpourrigift.com. Long-handled scrubber for shower.

Hip-hop anonymous - a PAO journal. For anyone considering or recovering from periacetabular osteotomy surgery due to hip dysplasia. Sunday, October 12, 2008. In my hospital bag. Below is my list of items I will be packing in my hospital bag. Some of the things I packed in the first bag didn't make the cut this time, and new things were added instead. 1 pair of very baggy sweatpants for the trip home. 1 shirt and bra. 2 pairs of socks (though I don't need them as I'm forced to wear those tight TEDs).

Hip-hop anonymous - a PAO journal: How often to see a doc post-op?
http://hip-hopanonymous.blogspot.com/2011/02/how-often-to-see-doc-post-op.html
Hip-hop anonymous - a PAO journal. For anyone considering or recovering from periacetabular osteotomy surgery due to hip dysplasia. Monday, February 21, 2011. How often to see a doc post-op? I had my latest hip checkup in May 2009. When I asked Dr. Mayo when he wanted to see me again, he said in two years. Which. Is. . About now. Which leads me to my question for all the other post-op hip patients out there. How often do you see a doctor for follow-up care? I am 5 years out from the intial PAO/FAI surger...

Hip-hop anonymous - a PAO journal. For anyone considering or recovering from periacetabular osteotomy surgery due to hip dysplasia. Friday, April 23, 2010. 2 years post op LPAO/scar pic. My left hip turned 2 today. Like a toddler, it asserts its independence more each day. It says "no" to sitting on the couch, "no" to giving up on ever-so-challenging squats and lunges and "no" to the life I led two years ago. I have zero restrictions. I have zero pain when walking, working out, etc. Take care, Carly.

Hip-hop anonymous - a PAO journal. For anyone considering or recovering from periacetabular osteotomy surgery due to hip dysplasia. Tuesday, April 23, 2013. 5 years post-op LPAO. Hip surgery remains − five years later − the smartest, bravest and most significant event of my life. Nothing can top the rewarding feeling of taking my health into my own hands, fighting tremendous fears and physical challenges, and coming through the other side a changed person. That's not to say it's all roses now. I just had...

Hip-hop anonymous - a PAO journal: My favorite stretch

Hip-hop anonymous - a PAO journal. For anyone considering or recovering from periacetabular osteotomy surgery due to hip dysplasia. Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Do something for me. Try this stretch if you can. Whether you are pre-op or post-op (just not in the first few months following your surgery! You might find this feels marvelous, just like I do. (Not me in the video.) It's generally called a glute stretch, but it also works the hips. And it feels. So. Good. Hi Cassie my name is Cassie too! But the pl...

Hip-hop anonymous - a PAO journal. For anyone considering or recovering from periacetabular osteotomy surgery due to hip dysplasia. Monday, May 12, 2014. 6 years post-op LPAO. I went in for some hip x-rays a few months back at the local orthopedic center and just had the local hip doc look at them. Dr. Kindsfater is not a PAO surgeon, but I trusted his opinion when he said all looked fine. And I feel fine. Better than fine. Maybe, even, six times better. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Hip-hop anonymous - a PAO journal: Good vibrations
http://hip-hopanonymous.blogspot.com/2014/05/good-vibrations.html
Hip-hop anonymous - a PAO journal. For anyone considering or recovering from periacetabular osteotomy surgery due to hip dysplasia. Tuesday, May 13, 2014. The good vibrations certainly would be a sweet sensation if only I could feel them. I'm talking, of course, about setting my cell phone to vibrate and putting it in my front pocket, where it inevitably rests against the numb patch of my thigh. When it rings, I don't feel a thing. Just leave a voice mail. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). PAO surgery ...
