Monday, September 7, 2009. 4 months post PAO. My hip has been much better. I can get up off the floor with no problems. I have even been able to get in the gym about 3 times per week. Friday, August 7, 2009. 13 weeks post PAO. Well I am finally 3 months post my LPAO. Yesterday was my last day of physical therapy. In the beginning. Was a lot to bear on some days, but now I feel almost back to normal and my co-workers forget that I had a major hip surgery since I can walk around the pharmacy just as quick as they can. My PAO Hip Surgery. Friday, 13 March 2009. Check-Up with Mr Apthorp - Short but Sweet. A couple of weeks ago for my four and a half month check up. He moved my legs around, asked about the physio, and whether I was happy I had had the PAO. Surgery. I was able to answer unequivocally 'yes'. I still can't believe I now lead a pain-free life. I asked a few questions about activity, and was then asked to have a chat with a 17-year old girl, due to have her PAO. Days It seems like such a long time ago now!

Ahh it was all going well. getting rid of the crutches for short distances, even some longer hobbles, (or wobbles as I currently walk with a certain weebleness about me! I’ve tried massaging, stretching, heat, ice and painkillers, oh and some rest which seems to be the best medicine, but doesn’t work as quickly as I want it to! Should I have crutches any more?
