miscellaneous demos | Twig

https://twigblog.wordpress.com/miscellaneous-demos

Here are various other miscellaneous demos I’ve done with Twig. Safe home base simulation. Twig was originally just a gait generator that I did to serve as a back-end animation system for a behavioral simulation I was doing of parent/child attachment.   The attachment behavior system is thought to be the system that causes children to want to maintain their proximity to their parents.  Attachment is interesting from an AI standpoint for a whole bunch of reasons (see my papers on AI blog. The talk is here.

I’m not going to bother putting the 2.0 version up on the web, but if you just drop me a note, I’m happy to send it to you. documentation | Twig

https://twigblog.wordpress.com/2009/07/28/documentation

We now have the beginnings of a manual. 160; It’s bare bones at the moment, but please feel free to send me questions or requests for things to further document. After way too much travel and administration, I’m finally able to switch over to summer research mode starting today and I seem to have managed to start by squashing the last bug I was aware of in the 0.2 release, so I’m posting everything.  Please feel free to send documentation and feature requests. Version 0.2 released (alpha) | Twig

https://twigblog.wordpress.com/2009/07/28/version-0-2-released-alpha

Version 0.2 released (alpha). See the source code page. Twig now has the beginnings of a manual. To simplify the documentation process and generally make it easier for people other than me to extend the class hierarchy, the APIs for the Physics, TwigObject, and TwigGame classes have been refactored and rationalized. Feedback is very welcome. Responses to “Version 0.2 released (alpha)”. Feed for this Entry. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public). TitleTK: my AI blog.

webcomic | Twig

https://twigblog.wordpress.com/webcomic

This is a “webcomic” that I’m using to test out features in Twig. The early episodes will likely be non-interactive, but as I add features and start to reach closure, I’ll start experimenting with interactivity. Click on the link below for the episode you want, then press the Run. For non-interactive comics, you can just sit and watch. However, you can:. To skip past a line of dialog (if it’s going too slowly for you). To tell the system to pause after each line of dialog, until you hit space. To run one...

Ian horswill’s blog on artificial intelligence, robotics, and interactive enterainment. Men are Dogs (and Women too). This one’s for the AAAI Fall Symposium on Natural Computation. It’s my latest effort to try to get my intuitions about cognitive architecture onto paper. There are a bunch of other arguments that I want to fold into it, but it’s already overdue, so they’ll have to wait for the camera ready copy. Comments and suggestions welcome. Coming up for air. And the idea is to combat the perception ...

It’s won’t solve the really hard problems that high-end SAT solvers can solve, but it’s very fast for problems with a lot of solutions; fast enough to run in a game engine:. Here are the slides.

Martin Treacy-Schwartz: Master's Thesis

http://www.theschwartz.dk/p/masters-thesis.html

The thesis is related to real-time camera control. At first I decided to use Ian Horswill's Twig. As a test bed since my supervisor ( Arnav Jhala. Is also interested in developing a better camera for Twig. Is an open-source library for procedural animation of characters in interactive narrative. But later after having tried out Unity. Did not really have this. I have also been inspired by Laurent Cozic's Master's thesis. I am planning to implement the resulting camera system into the game Puzzle Bloom.

Things you learned as a kid #2. August 15, 2015. You’ve probably learned these phrases, or equivalent in your language:. 8220;You throw like a girl”. 8220;Crying like a girl” *. 8220;Grow a pair and just do it”. 8220;You’ve got some balls …”. 8220;Man up” *. 8221;, but it doesn’t negate how they’re meant. The researchers asked half the participants to not tell lies and the other half were able to tell lies. When people had to tell the truth they reported better physical and mental health. The study also said that Americans tell on average 11 lies a week. That actually seems like a lot to me! How many lies do you tell a week?
