Wednesday, August 5, 2009. So we are back in Chattanooga and I'm using the photo I took three weeks ago. Here's the Delta Queen from Cincinnati which is now a hotel on the Chat waterfront. We are at the floating docks across from the boat by the pedestrian bridge. Prior miles includes the Canal Boat trip on the Erie Canal in 2005, the Gulf to Keys training in 2006, the North Channel shakeout cruise in 2007 and the Chicago downtown and on to the inland rivers in 2008. Thursday, July 16, 2009. Chattanooga was great. They have a nice waterfront and we were across from the Delta Queen, the last active steamship paddleboat in the US.and were serenaded each evening with their steam powered organ. It's now a waterfront hotel. We caught a free electric shuttle to an organic farmers market for a few supplies.a nice find. Vaughn crutched her way . doing a little better every day. We now have our antennae working again and gave the boat a good washing. Carry on up the river.

Wednesday, October 28, 2009. We were visited at Goose Pond by my cousin Marilyn. Actually she is my mom's, Charlene's, cousin and I'd never met her. She last met my brothers Mike and John when they were toddlers. She lives in Alabama and has a place in Montana. I've been in contact for a while via the web email network.
