Two Cups of Flour

Tuesday, June 12, 2012. So, I love lemons. I especially love lemons when I can turn them into something sweet easily and without the use of an oven. Because as much as I love to bake, it can be time consuming and require way more effort than I'm willing to impart, whilst still desiring the yum. That brings me back to my original point; lemon things that don't require baking. This is the first post back after. a year? 250 g (one packet) wine biscuits. 1 c desiccated coconut. 1/2 c condensed milk. 5 Line a...

Two Cups of Flour: Halfway Cookies, or Chocolate Meringue Slice

http://twocupsofflour.blogspot.com/2010/06/halfway-cookies-or-chocolate-caramel.html

Monday, June 14, 2010. Halfway Cookies, or Chocolate Meringue Slice. I believe I’ve gone a little bit insane. So far today I’ve baked six things and the content of this blog makes number seven. And I could keep going! Except I’m going to run out of butter soon, and I so can’t be bothered paying service station prices for some more. Plus I’m kinda out of ideas. Why am I baking so insanely? Vomit, it makes the world go ‘round. This is serious business, people. Anyway, this is a slice. 2 eggs, separated.

Two Cups of Flour: August 2010

http://twocupsofflour.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Saturday, August 7, 2010. Honey and Dried Fruit Muesli Bars. It’s been a long time. A really, really long time. I must admit to a certain lack of baking inspiration – when I feel the need for baking goodness, I’ve stuck to quick, proven recipes rather than experimenting (Salted Caramel Bars, anyone? Honey and Dried Fruit Muesli Bars. 200 g finely diced dried fruit and nuts. 200 g rice oil. 80 g desiccated coconut. 60 g almond meal. 2 pinches of salt. 3 The easy part! 4 It looks pretty! 6 Take it out when...

Two Cups of Flour: Spiced Pear Cake

http://twocupsofflour.blogspot.com/2010/10/spiced-pear-cake.html

Thursday, October 14, 2010. So I figured, lets continue with the pear theme. It worked last time, with the alcohol. Except that it gave you a headache, but that’s mostly because you’re a light weight. Oh my god. Enough rambling! I made a spiced pear cake with homemade caramel sauce. There, I said it. You actually know what this post is about, rather than some vague ramblings about pears and headaches. Why did I make this? 4 medium pears, peeled and diced. 188; c sugar. Juice of half a lemon. 189; tsp salt.

Two Cups of Flour: January 2010

http://twocupsofflour.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html

Tuesday, January 12, 2010. Another post so soon after the other? Is the world coming to an end? No, but I found an awesome recipe; it is a simple, delicious bread-ish recipe that I just had to try. Because it's bread, and. Well. If I have a favourite savoury food, its crusty bread slathered in butter. And of course, now that I've typed that and put the idea in my head, there is nothing I want more than that,. 250 g plain flour. 1/4 c olive oil. 100 mls white wine. 6 Drop eight of the tarallini into the b...

TWO CUPS OF HAPPY

Sunday, June 1, 2014. Here comes the sun. This is basically how I feel right now. What a gorgeous weekend we had here in Halifax. Seeing the sun after a long, cold, extended winter is so reassuring. Well, we have officially been home now for a month, and we really hit the ground running.
