Reflections on life and Judaism from an Atheist-Orthodox (free-thinking religious) Jew. Wednesday, September 25, 2013. Rain in the Sukkah - Cranky Masters and Bad Omens. I responded to my friend that I wasn't terribly impressed with the middot. Of this "master". You're not happy with the service, so you pour the drink in the servant's face? If that's not obnoxious behavior, I'm not sure what is! Of course, I don't go for (A) or. One more quick thought and I have to get ready for the chag. I'm not saying ...

http://atheodoxjew.blogspot.com/2014/07/i-witnessed-attempted-murder-last-night.html
Reflections on life and Judaism from an Atheist-Orthodox (free-thinking religious) Jew. Monday, July 14, 2014. I witnessed an attempted murder last night. As soon as I saw the first light fire upward, it was entirely clear to me what I was looking at: Israel's "Iron Dome" defense system, knocking out a missile lobbed into Israel by Hamas.
