Ten months of life in jaffa (yafo, yafa) has turned into, well, more than ten months. its not just the oranges i stayed for, but also the figs. Friday, December 23, 2005. We built this city on rock and roll and ideology. The lewis clan is in town. Annie’s parents know the cousins of the wife of the mayor of ariel, who insisted that they come on a private tour of his city (and they invited me to tag alone). Ariel is a city of 18,000, established in 1978 in the heart of. Besides the fact that he and I don’...

Today's June 5. I was last in class on March 27. That's a long time. 70 days to be exact. 10 weeks. The omer and then some. Longer than the amount of time until I will next be in the US. Wow. So what does that leave me? As a commenter in the previous post wrote, I am a typical liberal. Maybe, maybe not. I'd ...Blogs...

Ten months of life in jaffa (yafo, yafa) has turned into, well, more than ten months. its not just the oranges i stayed for, but also the figs. Friday, June 30, 2006. No need for weather reports. We haven’t felt a drop of rain since april. The only things raining down have been qassams on one side and shells on the other. I usually take the news in stride. Its sort of necessary thanks to the dismal amount of positive news in the world these days, let alone in this troubled region i currently reside in.

Truly, the question on everyone's mind. Sunday, December 25, 2005. Don't say it, Mr. Trump! Spatchtell. And, as in English, it’s both the verb and the noun. Say, would you mind passing the spatchtell? We have so many guests coming here in the next couple of weeks, I can’t even keep track of everyone. And that’s not counting the dozen or so people who I know who are here, but I don’t know that they’re here. So if you’re here, and I don’t know you’re here and you want to split a sufgania or somethi...But e...

Ten months of life in jaffa (yafo, yafa) has turned into, well, more than ten months. its not just the oranges i stayed for, but also the figs. Wednesday, November 23, 2005. I can gather all the news i need on the weather report. Actually, that’s a lie. Israeli politics are going wild this week. Has decided to leave likud and form a new party bringing the country to early elections (probably in march). Early elections seem to have become a trend here over the past decade or so. On a much lighter note.

For instance, last night, I got so bored waiting for my bus, that I took another bus coming (thanks free bus! See, those who know me well enough know that I have an easy solution. And those wh...
