Afric...

About the Project - Uganda Malaria and Health Care Project
http://ugandamalariahealthcareproject.weebly.com/about-the-project.html
Uganda Malaria and Health Care Project. History of the Project. It all started when we were exploring in Uganda, East Africa. Through seeing the conditions in which many people were living, and hearing stories about healthcare problems, we became aware, once again, of the tremendous need for health-care workers in sub-Saharan Africa. We were troubled by what we saw and decided that, since we weren't getting any younger, now is the time to be of service and invest our time and our skills in Africa.

Uganda Malaria and Health Care Project. Why are we working in Uganda? Dave and Christine at work. Sub-Saharan Africa has only 11% of the world's population, but it has 24% of the disease burden, including 64% of the global population living with HIV. Despite these statistics, it has only 3% of the world's health care providers. Our goal is to work with the local hospital staff to improve the level of health care available in the Kisiizi area of southwestern Uganda. Donate to this Project.

Monday, November 10, 2014. And Now It's Time to Say Goodbye. It's been been about 3.5 months now we've been back in the US. On one hand it seems like forever (in a good way), but on the other hand I so dearly miss friends in Uganda it seems like just days since we left them. Jeremiah is loving school and feels so blessed to once again be a student here. Hadassah also loves her homeschooling and is getting closer every day to being a full fledged reader!
